THE TEACHING AIMS TO MAKE THE STUDENT ACQUAINTED WITH CRITICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS THAT MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR HIM TO EXAMINE, FROM A SPECIFICALLY PHILOSOPHICAL POINT OF VIEW,THE ROLE PLAYED BY LANGUAGE IN RELATION TO OTHER AREAS OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO ITS COMMUNICATIVE FUNCTION. AT THE END OF THE LESSONS THE STUDENT - WILL KNOW IN ITS FUNDAMENTAL THEORETICAL ARTICULATIONS, AND AT LEAST IN PART IN ITS HISTORICAL EVOLUTION, A CENTRAL THEME IN PHILOSOPHICAL-LINGUISTIC REFLECTION - WILL UNDERSTAND THE LINK THAT UNITES HISTORY AND THEORY IN THE ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE AND ITS COMMUNICATIVE FUNCTION THE STUDENT WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO: - ANALYZE PHILOSOPHICAL-LINGUISTIC TEXTS OF MEDIUM COMPLEXITY. - DISCUSS THE THEORIES CONTAINED THEREIN. - APPLY THE LOGICAL-ARGUMENTATIVE TOOLS TO A SPECIFIC OBJECT OF ANALYSIS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE, USING THE THEORETICAL TOOLS ACQUIRED, TO: - INDEPENDENTLY ASSESS THE ROLE THAT LANGUAGE PLAYS IN THE REPRESENTATION OF REALITY AND IN THE DETERMINATION OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE - CRITICALLY INTERPRET THE ROLE THAT LANGUAGE PLAYS IN BOTH THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE COMMUNICATIVE SPHERE - USE IT, IN TURN, IN A MORE SUPERVISED MANNER THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - ADEQUATELY COMMUNICATE THE CONTENTS AND KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED BOTH IN FRONT OF SPECIALISTS AND NON-SPECIALISTS - APPLY THE SPECIFIC THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN RELATION TO BOTH THE COGNITIVE AND COMMUNICATIVE FUNCTIONS OF LANGUAGE IN VARIOUS COMMUNICATION CONTEXTS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACQUIRED TO: - MOVE AUTONOMOUSLY IN SECONDARY AND SPECIALIST LITERATURE - IDENTIFY THEMATIC AREAS WORTHY OF FURTHER AND MORE SPECIFIC STUDY |
