Objectives
1) GENERAL OBJECTIVE
THE COURSE AIMS TO LEARN HOW TO CRITICALLY ANALYZE AND COMMENT ON A TEXT OF THE GERMAN PHILOSOPHICAL TRADITION. FOR THIS PURPOSE, EXTENSIVE REFERENCE IS MADE TO THE GRAMMATICAL, LEXICAL, RHETORICAL AND LOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE, ALSO BY MEANS OF A COMPARISON WITH THE POSSIBLE TRANSLATIONS OF THE TEXT.
2) KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL LEARN WHAT CRITICAL ANALYSIS AND HERMENEUTICS OF THE PHILOSOPHICAL TEXT CONSIST OF. HE WILL BE AWARE OF THE MANY FACTORS THAT INTERVENE IN THE WRITING, READING AND TRANSMISSION OF THE WORKS THAT HAVE FORMED THOUGHT PATTERNS AND THEORETICAL TRADITIONS.
3) ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT SHORT TRANSLATIONS FROM THE GERMAN LANGUAGE WITH AWARENESS AND COMPETENCE. IN THIS WAY HE WILL BE ABLE TO EVALUATE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE LINGUISTIC MEDIUM IN COMMUNICATING CONCEPTS AND WILL BE ABLE TO DEVELOP ADEQUATE ARGUMENTATIVE AND RHETORICAL STRATEGIES TO EXPOSE PHILOSOPHICAL THEORIES AND MODELS OF THOUGHT.
4) AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
THE STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO EVALUATE THE IMPACT OF A LANGUAGE AND A CULTURAL TRADITION IN THE FORMATION OF PHILOSOPHICAL THEORIES, LEARNING TO DISCERN THE CAPABILITIES AND LIMITS OF THE DIFFERENT PHILOSOPHICAL MODELS OFFERED BY EUROPEAN THOUGHT. IN THIS WAY IT WILL DEVELOP A GREATER CRITICAL AWARENESS OF THE CULTURAL CONTEXT IN WHICH IT OPERATES.
5) COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC PHILOSOPHICAL LEXICON, CONSOLIDATED BY CLASSICAL AND MODERN LINGUISTIC KNOWLEDGE. THIS WILL FORM THE BASIS FOR TRANSFORMING KNOWLEDGE INTO ACTIVE SKILLS TO BE COMMUNICATED AND APPLIED IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS, ALSO THANKS TO THE USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS AND MEDIA PLATFORMS
6) LEARNING ABILITY
THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO USE TRADITIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS TO CARRY OUT RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS, KNOWING HOW TO APPROPRIATELY IDENTIFY AND INTERPRET THE TEXTS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE AVAILABLE. ON THIS BASIS HE WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT THE "LIFELONG LEARNING" ENVISAGED BY ADVANCED AND COMPLEX SOCIETIES.

SUBJECT, FREEDOM, HUMANITY. KANT AND THE MODERN LANGUAGE OF ETHICS.

KANT ALSO BROUGHT ABOUT A COPERNICAN REVOLUTION IN THE MORAL SPHERE. THE GOOD DERIVES NEITHER FROM GOD NOR FROM THE COSMOS NOR FROM SOCIETY.
