THE COURSE PROVIDES AN OVERVIEW OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. IT AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS THE BASICS CONCEPTS OF HOW COMPANIES WORK, ALSO INVESTIGATING THE SPECIFIC PROBLEMS CONCERNING THE FUNCTIONING OF SOME MANAGEMENT AREAS. THE COURSE WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO KNOW THE MAIN THEORIES AND THE MAIN TECHNIQUES RELATED TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE TYPICAL STRATEGIC AND TACTIC MANAGERIAL ISSUES. TO THIS END THE TYPICAL ISSUES RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS: PLANNING / PROGRAMMING, MARKETING, ORGANIZATIONAL AND FINANCIAL, WILL BE DEEPENED. THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED WILL BE USEFUL TO OPERATE WITHIN COMPANIES IN OPERATIONAL ROLES. JUDGMENT AUTONOMY THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EVALUATE THE STRATEGIC, MARKETING, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND PROGRAMMING AND CONTROL CHOICES CARRIED OUT BY THE COMPANY. COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO PRESENT AND COMMUNICATE THE RESULTS OF HIS WORK WITHIN THE COMPANY (DOCUMENTAL ANALYSIS, REPORTING, CONTROL, ETC.), AS WELL AS TO COMMUNICATE, IN A CLEAR AND EFFECTIVE WAY, WITH THE TOP MANAGEMENT AND THE ENTREPRENEUR. ABILITY TO LEARN THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY SOLUTIONS WITH RESPECT TO SPECIFIC PROBLEMS, DEEPENING KNOWLEDGE THROUGH THE SEARCH FOR THE MOST SUITABLE SOURCES. THE STUDY CARRIED OUT CONSTITUTES THE METHODOLOGICAL SYSTEM ON WHICH THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUBSEQUENT DISCIPLINARY IN-DEPTH STUDIES COULD BE PLACED. |

THE COURSE IS ARTICULATED IN THE FOLLOWING MACRO ARGUMENTS: 1) THE COMPANY AND COMPETITIVE CONTEXT (16 HOURS): - THE BUSINESS CONTEXT - ENTREPRENEURIAL PURPOSES - PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS - MICRO AND MACRO ANALYSIS 2) STRATEGIES, PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING (14 HOURS) - CORPORATE AND COMPETITIVE STRATEGIES - PROGRAMMING AND CONTROL - DECISIONS AND MANAGERIAL PROCESSES 3) FUNCTIONAL AREAS (20 HOURS) - MARKETING - PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS - ORGANIZATION - FINANCE - PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY 4) BUSINESS APPLICATIONS AND OPERATIVE TECHNIQUES (10 HOURS) |

THE COURSE PROVIDES 72 HOURS (12 CFU) OF FRONTAL LESSONS. DURING THE COURSE BOTH THEORETICAL LESSONS (60 HPURS) AND EMPIRICAL SESSIONS (12 HOURS) WILL BE APPLIED. THE AIM IS TO RESOLVE SPECIFIC PROBLEMS OF MANAGEMENT COHERENTLY WITH THE LEARNING GOAL. PARTICIPATION IN FRONTAL TEACHING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. |
Verification of learning | |

VERIFICATION OF LEARNING WILL BE MADE WITH FINAL EXAMINATION. FINAL EVALUATION WILL BE ON A SCALE OF THIRTY. FINAL EXAMINATION WILL BE ARTICULATED IN TEST FOLLOWED BY A COLLOQUY. THE WRITTEN TEST CONSISTS OF A TEST ORGANIZED INTO A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS BETWEEN 15 AND 30 WHICH CAN BE BOTH CLOSED AND OPEN ANSWERED. ONE POINT IS ASSIGNED FOR EACH CORRECT ANSWER FOR CLOSED-ANSWER QUESTIONS. OPEN-ANSWER QUESTIONS WILL BE SCORED BETWEEN 1 AND 5 POINTS. THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION IS PASSED IF THE SUM OF THE SCORES ACHIEVED IS AT LEAST EQUAL TO 18. THE STUDENT CAN CHOOSE TO SUSTAIN THE ORAL EXAMINATION THAT IS FUNCTIONAL TO ASSESS STUDENT'S KNOWLEDGE AND HOW TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE. THE MAXIMUM MARK IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES TO BE ABLE TO ILLUSTRATE CORRECTLY AND DISCUSS ALL THE ISSUES RELATING TO THE MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPANY. |
