THE COURSE CLARIFIES THE CONCEPT OF THE HISTORY OF RELIGIONS BY UNDERSTANDING IT AS A RESEARCH INTO THE PAST AND PRESENT HISTORY OF MAN IN ITS FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS WITH THE AIM OF RAISING QUESTIONS AND SUGGESTING POSSIBLE ANSWERS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT: - WILL KNOW THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF THE DISCIPLINE THROUGH THE PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF CONCRETE HISTORICAL EXAMPLES VERIFIED IN THE LIGHT OF LIVED EXPERIENCE - WILL DEEPEN THE KNOWLEDGE AND DEBATE ON TOPICS RELATED TO THE RELIGIOUS DIMENSION. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - ANALYSE PAST AND PRESENT RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL CONTEXTS - ANALYSE CONTEMPORARY REALITY WITH CRITICAL AWARENESS AND APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE - RAISE PROBLEMS AND SUGGEST ANSWERS AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - DEEPEN HIS ABILITY TO ANALYSE REALITY IN ITS CULTURAL ASPECTS LINKED TO THE RELIGIOUS DIMENSION - BROADEN HIS AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT DEVELOPED THROUGH THE REASONED STUDY AND USE OF THE PROPOSED TEXTS. COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE TO NON-SPECIALIST RECIPIENTS INFORMATION, IDEAS, PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS IN THE SPECIFIC DISCIPLINARY FIELD WITH PROPERTY OF LANGUAGE AND GOOD ARTICULATION OF THOUGHT LEARNING SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - DEVELOP A CRITICAL AWARENESS OF ISSUES THAT ARE AS TOPICAL AS EVER IN TODAY'S MULTI-ETHNIC AND MULTI-CULTURAL SOCIETIES - DEEPEN THE ABILITY TO ANALYSE REALITY IN ITS CULTURAL ASPECTS WITH REFERENCE TO THE RELIGIOUS DIMENSION - PROVIDE BASIC ELEMENTS OF THE DISCIPLINE AND APPROACH THE MULTICULTURAL AND MULTIRELIGIOUS ASPECT OF SOCIETY WITH EASE. |

THE HISTORY OF RELIGIONS IS A DISCIPLINE AIMED FIRST AND FOREMOST AT THE STUDY OF THE WORLD, HUMAN NATURE AND CULTURES. IT IS THEREFORE INDISPENSABLE TO HAVE AN INTEREST IN THE REALITY OF HUMANKIND IN THE TODAY WORLD, AND THROUGHOUT HISTORY, AS WELL AS IT IS NECESSARY A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY AND LANGUAGES AND CULTURES, INCLUDING ANCIENT ONES. |
