THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY TO UNDERSTAND THE ECONOMIC DYNAMICS IN INTERNATIONAL LONG-TERM SCENARIOS, THROUGH A GLOBAL VISION AND AN UNDERSTANDING OF COMPLEXITY. GEOPOLITICAL EVENTS SHAPE AND TRANSFORM THE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE ECONOMIC ACTORS OPERATE AND, IN LAST TIMES, SUCH EVENTS HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO CREATE GREATER COMPLEXITY AND UNCERTAINTY. THE COURSE INTENDS TO SET THE BASIS FOR UNDERSTANDING THE MAIN DYNAMICS RELATED TO GEOPOLITICS AND ECONOMIC BEHAVIOR OF INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET, IN COMPARATIVE TERMS, THE STRUCTURE OF PHENOMENA AND THE DYNAMICS OF INTERNATIONAL HISTORICAL-ECONOMIC PROBLEMS. THE COURSE WILL ALLOW THEM TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TO DEVELOPMENT AND INTERVENTION PROGRAMS AS WELL AS TO STUDY AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS.
