GENERAL OBJECTIVE: THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO: I) LEARN THE THEORETICAL, TECHNICAL AND REGULATORY ELEMENTS RELATING TO CHARACTERIZATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY; II) ACQUIRE THE TOOLS USEFUL FOR ASSESSING ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY; III) LEARN THE TECHNIQUES AND OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEMS. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE THE KNOWLEDGE FOR THE CHARACTERIZATION AND MEASUREMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND FOR THE ANALYSIS AND IDENTIFICATION OF THE MOST SUITABLE TECHNICAL, TECHNOLOGICAL AND MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS FOR THE TREATMENT AND CONTROL OF ENVIRONMENTAL PRESSURES. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CHARACTERIZE AND EVALUATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, MEASURE PRESSURES ON ENVIRONMENTAL SECTORS AND IDENTIFY THE BEST TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOR THEIR MONITORING AND CONTROL. JUDGMENT AUTONOMY: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS AND TOOLS TO CHARACTERIZE, MEASURE AND MONITOR ENVIRONMENTAL PRESSURES AND TO IDENTIFY THE BEST ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY CONTROL STRATEGIES. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN, WITH APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY, THE SKILLS ACQUIRED AND PRESENT AND DISCUSS THE SOLUTIONS IDENTIFIED EVEN IN GROUPS. LEARNING ABILITY: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL-MANAGERIAL SOLUTIONS ACQUIRED IN WAYS AND IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PRESENTED DURING THE COURSE, IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THE MOST SUITABLE OPTIONS FOR THE SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF INTEREST. |

THE COURSE INCLUDES LECTURES (20 HOURS) AND CLASSROOM EXERCISES (4 HOURS). DURING THE LECTURES THE STUDENTS ARE INVOLVED IN THE REASONING AND DISCUSSIONS PROPOSED WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF STIMULATING THEIR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE LESSON. IN THE CLASSROOM EXERCISES, A THEORETICAL ACTIVITY PRESENTED DURING THE COURSE IS ILLUSTRATED AND DEVELOPED. THE COURSE DOES NOT INQUIRE OBLIGATION TO ATTEND TO ACCESS THE PROFIT EXAM. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE VERIFICATION OF LEARNING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE END OF THE COURSE THROUGH AN ORAL INTERVIEW WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF ASSURING THE STUDENT'S ACTUAL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SET TRAINING OBJECTIVES. THE ORAL INTERVIEW WILL INCLUDE THEORETICAL, TECHNICAL AND APPLICATION QUESTIONS IN THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE. THE PROPOSITION, DISCUSSION AND CARRYING OUT REAL EXAMPLES WILL BE USED TO VERIFY UNDERSTANDING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE, AS WELL AS COMMUNICATIONAL THOSE IN THE TOPICS SUBJECT OF THE COURSE. THE FINAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS. THE MINIMUM ASSESSMENT LEVEL (18) IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT HAS SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF THEORETICAL, TECHNICAL, REGULATORY TOOLS AND SHOWS A SUFFICIENT ABILITY TO APPLY THEM TO THE STUDY CONTEXT. THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30) IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE COURSE TOPICS. PRAISE IS AWARDED WHEN THE CANDIDATE SHOWS EXCELLENT MASTERY OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS PROVIDED BY THE COURSE AND REPRESENTS NOTABLE MASTERY OF LANGUAGE AND INDEPENDENT PROCESSING ABILITY EVEN IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER. |
