Objectives
** KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
STUDENTS WILL GAIN A SET OF BASIC ANALYTICAL TOOLS TO INTERPRET THE ECONOMY FROM THE STANDPOINT OF AGGREGATE PROCESSES: ECONOMIC FLUCTUATIONS AND LONG-TERM ECONOMIC GROWTH.

** APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THROUGH FRONTAL TEACHING AND CLASSES STUDENTS WILL BE GRADUALLY BROUGHT TO THE CAPABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING AGGREGATE ECONOMIC PHENOMENA.
THROUGH INTERACTION WITH THE TEACHER AND CLASSES, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ENACT A GRADUAL AND CONSTANT CONTROL ON THEIR LEARNING CURVE.

THE COURSE INTRODUCES THE BASIC MACROECONOMICS MODELS FOR THE FUNDAMENTAL THEORY MACROECONOMICS AND EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THEIR CAPACITY OF INTERPRETATION OF ECONOMIC REALITY. IN PARTICULAR THE COURSE TO FOCUS ON MAJOR ISSUES OF MACROECONOMICS : DETERMINING THE PRODUCT AND NATIONAL INCOME , UNEMPLOYMENT , INFLATION , INTEREST RATES AND EXCHANGE RATES , IN THE SHORT AND LONG TERM. THE EFFECTS OF ECONOMIC POLICY , MONETARY AND FISCAL , AND THE DEBATE ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF POLICIES OF STABILIZATION IN OPEN ECONOMY WILL BE DISCUSSED
