THE COURSE FOCUSES ON THE ANALYSIS OF THE VARIOUS ASPECTS OF SUSTAINABILITY - ECONOMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL - WITHIN THE COMPLEXITY OF CORPORATE MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE. THEREFORE, THE PURPOSE OF THE COURSE IS TO EXAMINE THE MAIN TOOLS AND INDICATORS THAT CAN COMBINE THE PARADIGM OF SUSTAINABILITY WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPANY'S OPERATIONAL PROCESSES AND FINANCIAL NEEDS. THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE REGARDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL TOOLS USEFUL FOR PROMOTING THE PRINCIPLES OF SUSTAINABILITY IN ORGANIZATIONS (BUSINESSES, PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS). THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF CASES STUDIES, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY, MEASURE AND EVALUATE THE EFFECTS OF THE ADOPTION OF ESG CRITERIA, AS WELL AS TO INTERPRET THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF IMPLEMENTING ACTIONS AIMED AT MANAGING ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE ASPECTS IN ORGANIZATIONS. . |

- ESG CRITERIA: CONCEPTUAL EVOLUTION (6 HOURS); - REGULATORY FRAMEWORK AT INTERNATIONAL, EUROPEAN AND NATIONAL LEVEL (12 HOURS); - MAIN SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING TOOLS (15 HOURS); - STANDARDS, METRICS, AND REPORTING METHODS (12 HOURS); - RATING AGENCIES, ESG RATINGS AND ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES FOR ESG MANAGEMENT (9 HOURS); - IMPACT EVALUATION AND COMMUNICATION (6 HOURS). |

THE COURSE IS STRUCTURED AS FOLLOWS: - FRONTAL LESSONS (50 HOURS); - SEMINARS AND CASE STUDIES BY SCHOLARS AND EXPERTS ON THE TOPIC (10 HOURS). DURING THE LECTURES, THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND THE RELATED OPERATIONAL INTERPRETATIONS WILL BE PRESENTED THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH. THE SEMINARS AND CASE STUDIES AIM AT PROVIDING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HOW PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF MANAGERIAL/GOVERNANCE ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE VARIOUS SECTORS AND INSTITUTIONS CAN TRANSFORM ANY CONSTRAINTS INTO ADVANTAGEOUS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, THROUGH THE CREATION OF A PATH BASED ON SUSTAINABILITY. PARTICIPATION IN FACE-TO-FACE TEACHING IS NOT MANDATORY ALTHOUGH IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. ACCESS TO THE EXAM DOES NOT REQUIRE A MINIMUM ATTENDANCE OF LECTURE HOURS. |

THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE EXPECTED OBJECTIVES WILL BE VERIFIED THROUGH A PROJECT WORK, IN ORDER TO ASSESS PRACTICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES DEVELOPED BY THE STUDENTS. THE EVALUATION WILL BE CARRIED ON A SCALE RANGING FROM 18 TO 30. THE MINIMUM EVALUATION LEVEL (18) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT HAS A FRAGMENTARY KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND SHOWS A LIMITED ABILITY TO USE THEM WITHIN THE COURSE TOPICS. THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND HAS A NOTABLE ABILITY TO USE THEM WITHIN THE COURSE TOPICS. HONORS ARE AWARDED WHEN THE CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND SHOWS NOTABLE LANGUAGE SKILLS AND AUTONOMOUS PROCESSING ABILITY EVEN IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS COMPARED TO THE ONES PROPOSED BY THE TEACHERS. |
