ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE REGARDING PHARMACODYNAMIC, PHARMACOKINETIC AND MOLECULAR MECHANISM/S OF ACTION AND SIDE EFFECTS OF DRUGS IS AT THE BASIS OF THIS COURSE. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE ON: -PRINCIPLES OF PHARMACODYNAMIC AND PHARMACOKINETIC -MECHANISM/S OF ACTION OF DRUGS -MECHANISM/S THAT LEAD TO SIDE EFFECTS -INTERACTION AMONG DRUGS -USE OF DRUGS IN A PERSONALIZED MANNER APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: -DEFINE THE PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF DIFFERENTIAL CLASSES OF DRUGS, INCLUDING EFFECTIVENESS, SECURITY AND ADHESION TO THE THERAPY -DEFINE THE MOST APPROPRIATE CLASS OF DRUG TO BE USED ACCORDING TO THE PATHOLOGY -DEFINE DRUG INTERACTIONS MAKING JUDGEMENT: STUDENTS WILL: -EVALUATE MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR MECHANISM/S AT THE BASE OF DRUG ACTIVITY -DISTINGUISH PHARMACOLOGICAL FROM TOXICOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF DRUGS -EVALUATE THE EFFICACY, EFFECTIVENESS AND SECURITY OF DRUGS COMMUNICATION SKILLS: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ELABORATE A SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATION REGARDING THE THERAPEUTIC AND TOXICOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF DRUGS, USING AN APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPROACH ANY EXPERIMENTAL QUESTION IN THE PHARMACOLOGICAL FIELD. |
