THE TEACHING TAKES PLACE IN THE SECOND SEMESTER OF THE FIRST YEAR AND IS DIVIDED INTO 3 MODULES, CALLED: HUMAN ANATOMY, ODONTOSTOMATOLOGY AND MAXILLO FACIAL SURGERY FOR A TOTAL OF 132 HOURS OF LESSONS. THE COURSE AIMS TO DEFINE THE STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL BASES OF OUR BODY. IN PARTICULAR, IT WILL PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE OF ALL ANATOMICAL SYSTEMS WITH A FOCUS ON THE ANATOMICAL STRUCTURES OF THE HEAD AND NECK WHICH ARE OF INTEREST FOR DENTISTS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE STUDENTS: A) HAVE TO KNOW THE MORPHOLOGICAL AND STRUCTURAL ORGANIZATION OF ORGANS AND APPARATUSES THAT MAKE UP THE HUMAN BODY; B) WILL BE ABLE TO CORRELATE THE ORGAN STRUCTURE WITH ITS FUNCTION; C) WILL BE ABLE TO DESCRIBE MORPHOLOGICALLY AND TOPOGRAPHICALLY THE STRUCTURES OF THE STOMATOGNATIC APPARATUS AND THE HEAD AND NECK REGIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THEIR FUNCTIONS. |
