Objectives
THIS COURSE WILL INTRODUCE THE MAIN MODELLING METHODS, PARADIGMS AND TECHNOLOGIES INVOLVED IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (BOTH CONCERNING THE CONNESSIONIST AND SYMBOLIC APPROACHES) WITH A FOCUS ON KNOWLEDGE REPRESENTATION AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS BASED ON ONTOLOGIES, KNOWLEDGE GRAPHS AND LINKED DATA. STUDENTS WILL UNDERSTAND THE THEORETICAL AND TECHNICAL CHALLENGES INVOLVED IN MODELLING AND BUILDING SYSTEMS THAT CAN REASON, SOLVE PROBLEMS, ACQUIRE AND USE KNOWLEDGE AND MAKE DECISIONS IN REAL-LIFE ENVIRONMENTS.
Prerequisites
IT IS PREFERABLE TO HAVE ALREADY PASSED ALL THE LAB AND EXAMS OF COMPUTER SCIENCE OF THE CHOSEN CURRICULUM THAT ARE ANTEDECENT TO THIS ONE.
