Teaching Methods | |
---|---|
TEACHING, DIVIDED INTO TWO MODULES, PROVIDES 84 HOURS OF ASSISTED TEACHING (12 CFU) DIVIDED INTO HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND HOURS OF GUIDED CLASSROOM EXERCISES. 42 HOURS (6CFU) ARE OCCUPIED BY THE CHEMISTRY MODULE, AND 42 HOURS (6 CFU) FROM THE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY MODULE. IN THE CHEMISTRY MODULE, TWO THIRDS OF THE LESSON HOURS (28 HOURS) ARE DELIVERED IN THE FORM OF FRONT LESSONS AND A THIRD (14 HOURS) AS HOURS OF CLASSROOM EXERCISES. THE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY MODULE INCLUDES 35 HOURS (5 CFU) OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND 7 HOURS (1 CFU) OF CLASSROOM EXERCISES. DURING THE EXERCISES, THE STUDENTS CHECK DIRECTLY WHAT THE TEACHER INTRODUCES DURING THE LESSON. PARTICIPATION IN FRONTAL TEACHING HOURS IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TEACHING IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING A FINAL EXAMINATION. FOR ANY MODULE, A WRITTEN TEST AND AN ORAL TEST ON THE TOPICS OF THE TEACHING PROGRAM (MINIMUM VOTE 18/30) IS PROVIDED. THE WRITTEN TEST USUALLY LASTS NOT LESS THAN 60 MINUTES, IS PREPARATORY TO THE ORAL EXAMINATION AND IS FINALIZED TO VERIFY THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY APPLY THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE PROPOSED PROBLEMS. FOR THE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY MODULE, IN THE WRITTEN TEST THE STUDENT WILL BE SUBJECTED TO THE RESOLUTION OF 6 EXERCISES AIMED AT VERIFYING THE STUDENT'S LEARNING OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: NOMENCLATURE OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS, STEREOCHEMISTRY / CONFORMATIONAL ANALYSIS, REACTIVITY OF FUNCTIONAL GROUPS, REACTION MECHANISMS, ACIDITY AND BASICITY OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS, CLASSIFICATION OF A CLASS OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS AND RELATED CHARACTERISTICS / REACTIVITY. THE ORAL TEST CONSISTS OF AN INTERVIEW WITH QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION ON THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS OF THE TEACHING PROGRAM AND IS INTENDED TO ASCERTAIN THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENT, AS WELL AS TO VERIFY THE EXPOSURE CAPACITY USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND THE ABILITY TO AUTONOMOUSLY ORGANIZE THE EXHIBITION ON THE SAME SUBJECTS WITH THEORETICAL CONTENT. FOR THE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY MODULE, THE FINAL GRADE WILL RESULT FROM THE COMPOSITION OF A SCORE BETWEEN 0 AND 15 OF THE WRITTEN TEST, 0 AND 5 OF THE ORAL DISCUSSION OF THE PAPER AND 0 AND 10 OF THE KNOWLEDGE CHECK IN THE ORAL TEST. THE FINAL VOTE IS GIVEN BY THE AVERAGE OF THE VOTES FOR THE TWO MODULES. THE MINIMUM VOTE FOR PASSING THE EXAM IS 18/30. “30 CUM LAUDE" MAY BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO REACH THE MAXIMUM RATING OF 30/30 AND DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO APPLY THEIR OWN KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACQUIRED IN CONTEXTS OTHER THAN THOSE PROPOSED IN LESSONS. |
