LAURA BOREA Curriculum

Laura Borea is research fellow at the Civil Engineering Department of University of Salerno and adjunct professor of “Solid waste” for the academic year 2020/2021. Dr. Borea graduated with honors in Engineering for the Environment and the Territory in 2012 and obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering for the Environment and the Territory in 2016 at the University of Salerno with the mention Doctor Europaeus.

She was a visiting researcher at the Cranfield Water Science Institute of Cranfield University in 2011 and at the Laboratory of Environmental Chemical Engineering (Lequia) of the University of Girona in 2015.

She received the GITISA 2017 award for the best PhD thesis in Sanitary-Environmental Engineering.

She participated in several research projects funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and by the European Union under the EranetMED program.

She was adjunct professor of "Remediation of contaminated sites" for academic year 2019/2020 at the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Salerno.

Her research activity is focused on the combination of biological processes with membrane filtration systems and electrochemical processes for wastewater treatment, removal of emerging contaminants and energy production.
