KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AIMS TO ENHANCING STUDENTS’ CROSS COMPETENCIES - SO-CALLED SOFT SKILLS - CONSIDERED STRATEGIC IN THE CURRENT WORK ENVIRONMENT, CHARACTERIZED BY COMPLEXITY AND BY CONTINUOUS CHANGE. IN PARTICULAR, THE ATTENTION IS BEING PAID ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF LEADERSHIP-RELATED SKILLS, PROBLEM SOLVING, NEGOTIATION, RELATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS, TEAM WORK AND TIME MANAGEMENT. THROUGH SIMULATIONS AND WORK GROUPS, TEACHING ENABLES STUDENTS TO DEVELOP COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO MANAGE RELATIONSHIPS IN A WORK ENVIRONMENT (LEADERSHIP, NEGOTIATION, TEAM MANAGEMENT, TIME MANAGEMENT, ETC.). FURTHERMORE, THEY ARE GAINING THE TECHNIQUES AND THE METHODOLOGIES USEFUL TO STRENGTHEN THEIR LEADERSHIP ABILITY. AT THE SAME TIME, THEY ARE BEING ASSISTED IN ENHANCING THEIR SOFT SKILLS. APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. TEACHING IS PROVIDING TO STUDENTS A COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING ABOUT OPERATING MODE OF MANAGERIAL TOOLS FOR INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS MANAGEMENT. FINALLY, AT THE END OF WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES, STUDENT IS BEING ALSO ABLE TO EFFECTIVELY PRESENT AND COMMUNICATE RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT TOOLS IN ORGANIZATIONS. |

TRAINING ACTIVITIES ARE AIMING TO TRANSLATE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPED BY STUDENTS DURING EITHER THEIR ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE OR THE INTRODUCTORY STAGE OF THE COURSE IN PRACTICAL SKILLS, ABLE TO HELP THEM IN UNDERSTANDING HOW TO BEHAVE AND WORK IN ORGANIZATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS. THANKS TO THEIR ATTENDANCE AT EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, STUDENTS ARE BEING ABLE TO RECOGNIZE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED BY ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING IN THE CURRENT ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONTEXT. ATTENTION IS BEING PAID TO NEEDS OF BOTH FOR-PROFIT AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, DISTINGUISHABLE IN FIVE CATEGORIES: - ORGANIZATIONAL MODELS, FOR 6 HOURS, 4 HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND 2 HOURS OF PROJECT WORK; - BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TOOLS AND POLICIES, FOR 8 HOURS, 4 HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND 4 HOURS OF PROJECT WORK; - ANALYSIS TOOLS, FOR 8 HOURS, 4 HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND 4 HOURS OF PROJECT WORK; - DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS, FOR 8 HOURS, 4 HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND 4 HOURS OF PROJECT WORK. |

THE COURSE WILL BE OF 30 HOURS, 6 CFU, IN WHICH CHALLENGING TRADITIONAL NORMATIVE APPROACH, WHICH FOCUSES ON THE COMMUNICATION AND THE REPLICATION OF BEST PRACTICES, EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES ARE BEING PERFORMED BY MEANS OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES, WHICH ARE CONSISTENT WITH A GROUNDED RESEARCH METHOD. ACTUALLY, STUDENTS’ BEHAVIOURAL MODELS ARE BEING ANALYSED AND QUESTIONED, PAVING THE WAY FOR INDIVIDUAL IMPROVEMENT AND ENHANCEMENT PROCESSES. THE EDUCATIONAL METHODS ARE THE FOLLOWING: PROJECT WORK, FOR 14 HOURS, AND FRONTAL LESSONS, FOR 16 HOURS. |

THE LEARNING ACHIEVED BY THE STUDENTS WILL BE VERIFIED THROUGH AN ORAL INTERVIEW WITH THE TEACHER TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENTS ON THE MAIN TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS USEFUL FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS THAT TYPICALLY AND TRADITIONALLY ARISE IN ORGANIZATIONS. AT THE SAME TIME THE WORK CARRIED OUT IN THE CLASSROOM DURING THE LABORATORY HOURS WILL BE EVALUATED, AS WELL AS THE EXPOSURE OF THE LOGICAL PATH FOLLOWED AND THE ABILITY TO CONTEXTUALIZE WHAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED WITH RESPECT TO THE TOPICS COVERED BY THE COURSE. THE MINIMUM (18), WHEN THE LEARNER PRESENTS A FRAGMENTARY KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS OF THE COURSE AND A POOR ABILITY TO CONTEXTUALIZE THEM. THE MAXIMUM (30) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND THE ABILITY TO OPERATE AUTONOMOUSLY THE CONCEPTUAL LINKS BETWEEN THEM. PRAISE IS GIVEN WHEN THE LEARNER DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENT, ABILITY TO ARGUE WITH ADEQUATE LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND THE ABILITY TO CONTEXTUALIZE THEM EVEN IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER. THE FINAL EVALUATION WILL BE AN ARITHMETIC AVERAGE BETWEEN THE GRADE OBTAINED WITH THE PROJECT WORK AND THE GRADE OBTAINED DURING THE ORAL INTERVIEW. |
