Objectives
AT THE END OF THE COURSE, STUDENTS WILL HAVE ACQUIRED BOTH CONCEPTUAL AND MORE DISTINCTLY OPERATIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR THE ADOPTION IN THE GOVERNANCE OF ORGANISATIONS OF MANAGEMENT TOOLS INSPIRED BY A TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE APPROACH, I.E. CAPABLE OF INTEGRATING THE ECONOMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS.

STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO IMPLEMENT STRATEGIC, OPERATIONAL AND COMMUNICATIONAL TOOLS USEFUL FOR PROMOTING THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF ORGANISATIONS (BUSINESSES, PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS, NON-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS).

- THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK OF THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF ORGANISATIONS (6 HOURS LECTURE);
- THE TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE APPROACH (2 HRS. LECTURE);
- PROCESSES FOR PROMOTING AND DISSEMINATING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (4 HOURS OF LECTURE);
- EU AND NATIONAL STRATEGIES FOR PROMOTING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (4 HRS. LECTURE);
- THE GLOBAL APPROACH TO ACCOUNTABILITY (2 HR. LECTURE);
- REFERENCE GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS (4 LECTURE HOURS);
- THE TOOLS FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: CODES OF ETHICS, SA 8000, SOCIAL BALANCE SHEET, SUSTAINABILITY REPORT, INTEGRATED REPORT (4 HOURS OF LECTURE, 4 HOURS OF SEMINARS AND TESTIMONIES).
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF :
- LECTURES (26 HOURS);
- SEMINARS AND TESTIMONIES BY SCHOLARS AND EXPERTS ON THE SUBJECT (4 HOURS).
IN THE LECTURES, THE TOPICS COVERED AND THEIR OPERATIONAL INTERPRETATIONS ARE PRESENTED THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH.
THE SEMINARS AND TESTIMONIES BY SCHOLARS AND EXPERTS ON THE SUBJECT ARE INTENDED TO SHOW HOW THE OPERATORS IN CHARGE OF GOVERNANCE ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE VARIOUS SECTORAL AND INSTITUTIONAL SYSTEMS CAN TRANSFORM POSSIBLE CONSTRAINTS INTO ADVANTAGEOUS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PATH MARKED BY SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE EXPECTED OBJECTIVES WILL BE CHECKED THROUGH THE DRAFTING AND PRESENTATION (AT THE END OF THE COURSE) OF A PROJECT WORK. THE DRAFTING AND DISCUSSION OF THE PROJECT WORK HAS THE OBJECTIVE OF ASSURING THE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL SKILLS REFERRED TO IN THE TRAINING OBJECTIVE. THE ASSESSMENT WILL BE CARRIED OUT IN THIRTIETHS.
THE MINIMUM ASSESSMENT LEVEL (18) IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT HAS FRAGMENTARY KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND SHOWS A LIMITED ABILITY TO USE THEM WITH RESPECT TO THE STUDY CONTEXT AND PRACTICAL SKILLS.
THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30) IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE AND DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND HAS A CONSIDERABLE ABILITY TO USE THEM WITH RESPECT TO THE STUDY CONTEXT AND PRACTICAL SKILLS.
PRAISE IS AWARDED WHEN THE CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND SHOWS REMARKABLE LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND INDEPENDENT PROCESSING ABILITY EVEN IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER, DEMONSTRATING AN EXCELLENT USE OF PRACTICAL SKILLS.
