LECTURES SUPPORTED BY MANY EXAMPLES TAKEN FROM DIFFERENT CONTEXTS AND REFERRING TO A NUMBER OF JOURNALS AND CONFERENCES. IN ADDITION, FLIPPED-CLASSROOMS WILL BE ORGANIZED TO INCREASE ENGAGEMENT AND INTERACTIONS WITH THE CLASS. Verification of learning | |

THE EXAM CONSISTS OF AN INDIVIDUAL DISCUSSION OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: AT LEAST TWO ARTICLES, THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED BY THE ADVISOR TO START THE RESEARCH ACTIVITY, THAT THE STUDENT CONSIDERS AS AN EXCELLENT AND POOR EXAMPLES ACCORDING TO THE CRITERIA DISCUSSED IN THE COURSE; TURN THE OWN MASTER THESIS ON TO A SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE AND ESTIMATE THE CHANCES OF BEING ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION IN ONE OR MORE SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS/CONFERENCES. IN BOTH CASES, THE STUDENT HAS TO DEMONSTRATE TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO APPLY THE GUIDELINES GIVEN IN THE COURSE. POSSIBLE GRADES ARE, IN DESCENDING ORDER: OTTIMO (EXCELLENT), BUONO (GOOD), DISCRETE (FAIR), SUFFICIENTE (PASS), INSUFFICIENTE (FAIL).
