Objectives
The course of neuroradiology is divided into five teaching modules: neuroradiology, functional neuroimaging, vascular and interventional neuroradiology, neurology, technical-methodological aspects of the integrated course. The course aims to promote the acquisition of theoretical knowledge concerning the principles of neuroradiology and neurology, and the methodological aspects of the procedures of neuroradiology and vascular and interventional neuroradiology.
Knowledge and understanding
- knowledge and understanding of the theoretical aspects of neurology
- knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and methodological aspects of neuroradiology
- knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and methodological aspects of functional neuroradiology
- knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and methodological aspects of vascular and interventional neurology
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
- ability to use the main equipment in neuroradiology
- ability to apply the procedural methodologies of vascular and interventional neuroradiology
Transversal skills
- ability to update through bibliographic tools.
Prerequisites
In order to understand and be able to apply most of the topics covered in teaching, it is necessary to have passed the preparatory examination of Tomografia I
Contents
The course is divided into 5 modules: neurology with 1 cfu, neuroradiology with 2 cfu, functional neuroimaging with 1 cfu, vascular radiology and intervention (neuro) with 1 cfu, neuroradiology methodologies with 1 cfu. The course includes 60 hours of lessons in which the following topics will be addressed:
-References of anatomy and physiology of the s.n.c.
-The main pathologies of s.n.c.
-S.n.c. study techniques
-Normal and pathological pictures.
-Main indications.
-Principles and techniques of functional neuroradiology
-Principles and techniques of vascular and interventional neuro radiology
Teaching Methods
The teaching foresees Lectures. Attendance is mandatory. In order to take the final exam, the student must have attended at least 75% of the teaching hours. The mode of verification of presence is made known by the teacher at the beginning of the lessons.
Verification of learning
The achievement of the teaching objectives is certified by passing an exam with evaluation in thirtieths. The test as a whole makes it possible to ascertain both the ability to know and understand, and the ability to apply the skills acquired, both the ability to exhibit, and the ability to learn and develop solutions independently of judgment
