KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING AFTER HAVING RECONSTRUCTED THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNOLOGIES THAT HAVE GRADUALLY GIVEN THE WEB ITS CURRENT MEANING, THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE THE USE OF SUITABLE MANAGERIAL SKILLS CAPABLE OF FAVORING THE ADVANCEMENT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES, APPLICABLE TO BOTH THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS. THE TEACHING, MAKING USE OF EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING TECHNIQUES AND REAL CASE STUDIES, AIMS TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE IN CASES OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICT), SO STUDENTS TO ORIENT THEMSELVES AMONG THE DIFFERENT STRATEGIC OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO MODERN COMPANIES. |

THE COURSE (60 HOURS TOTAL), WHICH THE STUDENT IS INVITED TO UNDERTAKE, STARTS FROM THE ANALYSIS OF THE SCENARIO CHARACTERIZED BY WEB 2.0, FOCUSING ON ITS CHARACTERISTICS, TOOLS AND IMPLICATIONS FOR MANAGEMENT. FROM THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL MEDIA WE MOVE ON TO EXAMINE THE SUBSEQUENT REVOLUTION OPERATED BY BIG DATA, IN THE CONTEXT OF THE SO-CALLED WEB 3.0. THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL INNOVATION ON COMPETITION AND BUSINESS MODELS OF COMPANIES IS INVESTIGATED (30 HOURS). IN PARTICULAR, FOUR MAJOR COMPANIES IN THE TECHNOLOGY SECTOR ARE EXPLORED: APPLE, AMAZON, FACEBOOK, GOOGLE. THEY HAVE GENERATED A WEALTH OF SIGNIFICANT SIGNIFICANCE, SIMULTANEOUSLY RAISING VARIOUS CRITICAL ISSUES. THE CHALLENGE REPRESENTED BY THE DIMENSIONS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OFFERS COMPANIES NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO COMPETE EFFECTIVELY ON GLOBAL MARKETS, AS LONG AS THEIR CHANGE IS ORGANIZATIONAL, STRATEGIC AND CULTURAL, COMBINING WITH CREATIVITY IN A NEW “HUMAN DIGITAL ENTERPRISE” DIMENSION (30 HOURS). |

THE COURSE IN DIVIDED INTO LESSONS (40 HOURS), CLASSROOM EXERCISES (20 HOURS). THE LESSONS WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE THE THEORETICAL AND STRATEGIC KNOWLEDGE OF DIGITAL MANAGEMENT IN ENTERPRISES. THE EXERCISES THEY WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO APPLY WHAT LEARNED AT THE THEORETICAL LEVEL TO COMPANY CASES OF DIFFERENT TYPES. PARTICIPATION IN FRONTAL TEACHING IS NOT MANDATORY. |

THE EXAM CONSISTS OF AN ORAL TEST TO VERIFY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE ADVANCED USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR, AND TO THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION UP TO ITS MOST ADVANCED FORMS (IOT AND AUGMENTED REALITY) . THE SCORE OF THE ORAL EXAM DEPENDS THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY PRESENT THE CONTENTS E CRITICALLY DISCUSS THE TOPICS ILLUSTRATED. THE SCORE OF THE ORAL EXAM IS AIMED AT EVALUATING THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE STUDENT. THE MINIMUM SCORE IN THE ORAL TEST REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF TOPICS: CRITICAL ISSUES AND STRENGTHS OF THE STRONGEST DIGITAL COMPANIES, CHARACTERISTICS AND USE OF BIG DATA, THE ORGANIZATIONAL TRANSFORMATION OF COMPANIES TO ACCOMMODATE DIGITAL INNOVATION. THE MAXIMUM MARK IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT PROVES TO BE ABLE TO CORRECTLY ILLUSTRATE AND DISCUSS, IN ADDITION TO THE TOPICS MENTIONED, THE TOPICS OF DIGITAL AND HUMAN DIGITAL ENTERPRISE (IOT, AUGMENTED AND VIRTUAL REALITY). EXCELLENCE REQUIRES ACHIEVING THE MAXIMUM SCORE AND DEMONSTRATING THE ABILITY TO RELATE DIFFERENT THEORETICAL CONCEPTS. |
