Objectives
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
THE COURSE AIMS TO TRANSFER TOOLS AND METHODS FOR TERRITORIAL ANALYSIS AIMED AT THE KNOWLEDGE OF LOCAL SYSTEMS, THE ABILITY TO PLACE CULTURAL ASSETS IN THE CONTEXTS THEY BELONG TO AND THE EXPERIMENTATION OF BASIC FORMS OF VALORISATION.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW:
METHODS AND TOOLS OF GEOGRAPHY FOR TERRITORIAL ANALYSIS;
THE TECHNIQUES OF REPRESENTATION AND INTERPRETATION OF TERRITORIAL PHENOMENA WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO CULTURAL HERITAGE;
THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN TERRITORY AND CULTURAL HERITAGE;
GEOGRAPHICAL APPROACHES FOR AUDITING AND VALUE CREATION.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THROUGH THE STUDY OF THE DISCIPLINE, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
GEOGRAPHICALLY FRAME TERRITORIAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL, ARTISTIC OR DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE;
CONNECT PHENOMENA LINKED TO CULTURAL HERITAGE WITH THE EUROPEAN CULTURAL TRADITION;
USE THE GEOGRAPHICAL AND MARKETING TOOLS OF THE TERRITORY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND VALORISATION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE;
APPLY SWOT ANALYSIS METHODS AND IMPLEMENT VALORIZATION PROJECT FORMS.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
IDENTIFY PRIORITIES AND PREVALENT THEMES WITHIN GENERAL THEMATIC AREAS;
SELECT STATISTICAL AND DOCUMENTARY SOURCES;
ACCESS OPEN SOURCE PLATFORMS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF DATA OF INTEREST;
CRITICALLY PROCESS INFORMATION AND DATA;
CREATE THEMATIC MAPS WITH GOOGLE EARTH PRO.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL KNOW:
ORGANIZE THE RESULTS OF STUDIES AND RESEARCH INTO DOCUMENTARY, GRAPHIC AND ICONOGRAPHIC VERSIONS SUITABLE FOR PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS;
REPORT SYNTHETICALLY ON THE RESULTS OF COLLECTIVE OR INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH AND STUDIES;
DEAL WITH PARTICIPATION IN GROUP WORK.

LEARNING ABILITY
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
IDENTIFY AND ACCESS OPEN SOURCE SOURCES FOR THE ACQUISITION OF DATA OF INTEREST;
SYSTEMATISE, PROCESS AND GRAPHICALLY REPRESENT DATA AND INFORMATION;
CARRY OUT STUDIES AND THEMATIC INSIGHTS.

OPEN SOURCE MAPPING SOFTWARE: GOOGLE EARTH PRO (4)
TERRITORIAL PLAN OF THE CAMPANIA REGION AND LOCAL TERRITORIAL SYSTEMS (2 HOURS);
ANALYSIS OF INFORMATION LEVELS: ENVIRONMENTAL, DEMOGRAPHIC, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL (8 HOURS);
METHODOLOGY OF ANALYSIS OF TERRITORIAL COMPONENTS (8 HOURS);
ROLE OF MARKETING FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT (4 HOURS);
FUNDAMENTALS OF TERRITORIAL AUDIT AND SWOT ANALYSIS (6 HOURS);
GEOGRAPHY AND CULTURAL HERITAGE (7 HOURS)
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INVOLVES CARRYING OUT:
FRONTAL LESSONS (SUPPORTED BY THE USE OF DOCUMENTARY, CARTOGRAPHIC, GRAPHIC AND PHOTOGRAPHIC TOOLS) AIMED AT THE GENERAL FRAMEWORK AND DISCUSSION OF THE TOPICS COVERED BY THE COURSE;
EXERCISES, RESEARCH AND GROUP WORK FOR IN-DEPTH STUDY OF THE TOPICS COVERED;
USE OF IT EQUIPMENT FOR THE GUIDED USE OF OPEN SOURCE DIGITAL MAPPING SOFTWARE;
EXPERIMENTATION IN THE USE OF INTERFACE AND TOOLS
EXERCISES FOR THE CREATION OF MAPS OF CULTURAL HERITAGE.
ATTENDANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Verification of learning
THE EXAM INCLUDES A FINAL ORAL TEST, DURING WHICH THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE THAT HE HAS CRITICALLY ACQUIRED THE MAIN DISCIPLINARY CONTENTS.
THE MINIMUM THRESHOLD FOR POSITIVE EVALUATION WILL BE REACHED IN CASES OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES OF THE DISCIPLINE, OF THE REGIONAL TERRITORIAL STRUCTURE, OF THE TOOLS OF TERRITORIAL ANALYSIS FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT.
HIGHER LEVELS OF ASSESSMENT WILL BE DETERMINED BY TESTING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS;
COMPARE LOCAL TERRITORIAL SYSTEMS;
APPLY THE PRINCIPLES OF SWOT ANALYSIS TO A GIVEN CONTEXT;
KNOWING HOW TO RECONSTRUCT THE NETWORK OF LOCAL CULTURAL HERITAGE.
THE MAXIMUM THRESHOLD WILL BE REACHED IN CASES WHERE THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES THAT HE KNOWS:
1. CONNECT THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES TO FORMS OF TERRITORIALIZATION OF CONCEPTS, KNOW HOW TO PRESENT CASE STUDIES ANALYZED DURING THE COURSE, FORMULATE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THEMES AND CONCEPTS;
2. USE THE MAIN GOOGLE EARTH PRO TOOLS AND CREATE A VARIABLE SCALE MAP WITH RELATED EDITING.
