Objectives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
THE COURSE HAS THE OBJECTIVE OF INTRODUCING THE STUDENT TO AI APPLICATIONS IN THE ENTERPRISE FIELD, LOOKING AT THE DIFFERENT COMPANY AREAS AND PROCESSES IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE TRANSFORMATIVE CAPACITY OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES RELATED TO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND
DURING THE COURSE, THE STUDENT:
- YOU WILL LEARN THE BASIC TERMINOLOGY AND THE DIFFERENT METHODS AT THE BASIS OF MODERN AI
- WILL UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DATA AND MODELS

INTERACTIVE FRONTAL LECTURES, SUPPORTED BY MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATIONS WITH SLIDES AND VIDEOS, EXPLAIN KEY CONCEPTS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN ENTERPRISES, HELPING TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE THEORY THROUGH CONCRETE EXAMPLES. OPEN DISCUSSIONS STIMULATE CRITICAL THINKING AND ALLOW STUDENTS TO EXPRESS OPINIONS AND SHARE EXPERIENCES. THE ANALYSIS OF CASE STUDIES OFFERS A PRACTICAL VIEW OF REAL AI IMPLEMENTATIONS IN VARIOUS COMPANIES, CONNECTING THEORY AND PRACTICE AND DEVELOPING PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS. Verification of learning
THE EXAM CONSISTS OF A WRITTEN TEST DESIGNED TO ASSESS THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO APPLY METHODOLOGIES AND ADDRESS CHALLENGES IN DEFINING AN AI-BASED BUSINESS APPLICATION. THE WRITTEN TEST IS IN MULTIPLE CHOICE FORMAT AND COVERS IN A HOMOGENEOUS WAY ALL THE TOPICS COVERED DURING THE LESSONS. THE SCORE OF THE TEST WILL CONTRIBUTE TO DETERMINING THE FINAL MARK, WITH EACH CORRECT ANSWER GIVING +1 POINT, WHILE EACH INCORRECT ANSWER WILL RESULT IN A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF -0.5 POINTS. ANSWERS NOT GIVEN WILL COUNT 0. STUDENTS MUST ANSWER AT LEAST HALF MORE OF THE QUESTIONS TO PASS THE EXAM; OTHERWISE, THE TEST WILL BE CANCELLED. THE ALGEBRAIC SUM OF THE ANSWERS WILL DETERMINE THE FINAL MARK.
