Objectives
The Human and Economic Sciences course is divided into four teaching modules: General Sociology, Bioethics, Applied Economics, Labor Law. The course aims to promote the acquisition of theoretical knowledge concerning the principles of General Sociology, Applied Economics, Bioethics and Labor Law. In particular, in addition to the basic elements, the aspects related to Diagnostic Imaging will be analysed
Knowledge and understanding
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of General Sociology
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Applied Economics
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Labor Law
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Bioethics
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
- Ability to apply theoretical knowledge acquired to Diagnostic Imaging
Transversal skills
- Ability to update through bibliographic tools.

The course is divided into 4 modules: General Sociology with 2 CFU, Applied Economics with 1 CFU, Labor Law with 1, Bioethics with 1 CFU. The course includes 60 hours of lessons in which the following topics will be addressed:
Sociology
- The "sociological" interest in the ancient world and in the Middle Ages
- Object, method and sociological theory
- The texture of the social fabric
- Culture, language and communication
- Sociology of Groups
- Social Control, Deviance and Crime
- Stratification, social classes and mobility
- Economy
- Work, Production and Consumption
- Politics and Administration
- The sociology of health
- The concept of health and disease
- Sociology of Organization and Management
- Sociological Analysis of Terrorism
Applied economics
- The fundamental concepts of the economy (economic needs and goods, the subjects of the economy, the economic circuit);
- Wealth, assets and income;
- The relationship between income, consumption and investment;
- The state and the economy (public needs and services, economic policy, the state budget, characteristics of the Italian tax system);
- The company (the needs, the economic good, the economic activity and the definition of the company);
- The subjective profile of the company (the legal entity, the economic entity, individual companies, collective companies);
- Corporate groups (notion of group, notion of control, classification of groups);
- The organization of the national health system (definition, production process, subsets and market, public and private financing, public and private production, principles of the national health service, local health authority, hospital, health professionals, the PSR) ;
- The accounting of Health Trusts and the planning and control tools (from financial accounting to economic accounting, from expenditure control to expenditure governance, management control, the concept of objective function and managerial efficiency).
Labor law
- Overview and sources of labor law;
- Trade union law;
- The collective agreement;
- The individual employment contract (the probationary period, compulsory hiring, the powers of the employer, rights and duties of the worker, working hours, overtime and weekly rest);
- Termination of the employment relationship;
- Public employment;
- Severance pay;
- The protection of child labour;
- Accident and illness; maternity and paternity;
- Mobbing;
- Rights and duties of the civil servant

Bioethics
- Introduction to bioethics;
- Principles of bioethics and fields of application;
- Informed consent (validity, information, characteristics, autonomy, code of ethics);
- Role of the legal representative;
- The truth at the bedside;
- Professional secrecy;
- DAT - advance treatment provisions;
- End of life, euthanasia, assisted suicide, palliative care;
- Prenatal life and law;
- voluntary termination of pregnancy;
- PMA- assisted medical procreation;
- Transplant ethics, legality, organ search, death verification, types of donors.
Teaching Methods
The course includes frontal lessons lasting 60 hours.
Attendance at lectures and laboratory exercises is mandatory. In order to sit the final exam, the student must have attended at least 75% of the teaching hours. The method of verifying attendance is announced by the teacher at the beginning of the lessons.
Verification of learning
The achievement of the teaching objectives is certified by passing an exam with an evaluation out of thirty. The test as a whole makes it possible to ascertain both the capacity for knowledge and understanding, and the ability to apply the skills acquired, and the ability to present, and the ability to learn and develop solutions in independent judgment. The teachers holding the coordinated modules participate in the collegiate evaluation
