Objectives | |

STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO RESEARCH, OBSERVE AND CRITICALLY ANALYZE ONGOING SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROCESSES, VIEWING SOME ITALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL CASE STUDIES, VISITING AND COMING INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH SOME ACTIVE EXPERIENCES IN THE LOCAL CONTEXT. THEY WILL LEARN TO CRITICALLY ANALYZE THE IMPLICATIONS, IN TERMS OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY, OF THE MOST RECENT TRANSFORMATIONS TAKING PLACE IN THE TERRITORY, BOTH URBAN AND RURAL. THE LABORATORY USES PARTICIPATORY, EXPERIENTIAL TEACHING METHODS AND COLLECTIVE ELABORATION OF CONTENTS. THE TEACHING WILL BE INTEGRATED WITH DIRECT TESTIMONIES FROM LOCAL ACTORS, THANKS TO FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS, IN-DEPTH SEMINARS AND ON-SITE VISITS. |

THE COURSE WILL ALLOW STUDENTS TO DEEPEN AND CRITICALLY UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING THEMES: THE BODY AS LAND AND TERRITORY, AGROECOLOGY AND POLITICAL ECOLOGY OF AGRICULTURE, ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL REGENERATION IN RURAL AND URBAN TERRITORY, SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL EXPLOITATION, SOCIAL MOVEMENTS IN DEFENCE OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND TERRITORIAL RESISTANCE, ECOLOGICAL RECONVERSION OF PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY OF ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL SYSTEMS, SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE TERRITORY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE BORDER, ONGOING TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES IN THE CLIMATE, ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES. |

THE LABORATORY MAKES USE OF PARTICIPATORY, EXPERIENTIAL TEACHING METHODS AND COLLECTIVE ELABORATION OF THE CONTENTS. THE TEACHING WILL BE INTEGRATED BY DIRECT TESTIMONIES OF LOCAL ACTORS, THANKS TO FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS, IN-DEPTH SEMINARS AND ON-SITE VISITS. WIDE USE WILL BE MADE OF METHODOLOGIES CENTERED ON THE ACTIVE PROTAGONISM OF STUDENTS, WITH THE AIM OF BUILDING KNOWLEDGE IN A SHARED WAY: COOPERATIVE LEARNING, FLIPPED CLASSROOM, FOCUS GROUP AND DEBATE, APROJECT BASED LEARNING. |

THE EVALUATION OF THE WORK OF STUDENTS, EXPRESSED AS PASSED/FAILED, WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE BASIS OF THE ELABORATION OF A SHORT REPORT, INDIVIDUAL OR COLLECTIVE. THE REPORT WILL CONSTITUTE THE DEEPENING OF A THEME ADDRESSED DURING THE LABORATORY. THE OBJECT, THE EXTENSION AND THE METHOD, INDIVIDUAL OR COLLECTIVE (AND POSSIBLE COMPOSITION OF THE GROUP), OF THE SHORT REPORT WILL BE AGREED IN ADVANCE WITH THE TEACHER IN CLASS OR VIA EMAIL. THE DEFINITIVE TEXT MUST BE DELIVERED VIA EMAIL ON A DATE TO BE AGREED WITH THE TEACHER. THE RESEARCH AND USE OF DATA AND ANALYTICAL CATEGORIES IN A SYSTEMATIC WAY WILL BE EVALUATED, AS WELL AS WRITTEN PROCESSING SKILLS. |
