The laboratory's activity concerns two research areas:
- Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence: Development of algorithms based on supervised and unsupervised artificial neural networks for data analysis, classification and automatic recognition. The laboratory has experience in the analysis of EEG signals, satellite images, and seismic signals for the automatic recognition of events, developing innovative techniques, based on neural algorithms from Deep Learning to SVM (Support-Vector Machine), to MLP, SOM ( Self-Organized-Maps), PCA and ICA, etc.
-Complex systems and computational neuroscience: Numerical simulations of models for the study of emerging collective phenomena in neural and biophysical dynamics.
