THE COURSE AIMS TO INTRODUCE THE STUDENT TO IT SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT THE MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DEVELOP HIS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE COURSE TOPICS BY: • LEARNING FORMAL LANGUAGES FOR THE REPRESENTATION OF ARCHITECTURES OF THE COMPANY AND THE PROCESSES THAT TAKE PLACE IN IT; • THE STUDY OF THE TECHNOLOGIES AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS. THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE TOPICS STUDIED DURING THE COURSE THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATION METHODS AND IT TECHNIQUES TO CASE STUDIES REPRESENTATIVE OF MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS OF MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES. |
Prerequisites | |
---|---|
THE STUDENTS MUST KNOW THE CONCEPTS RELATED TO ALGORITHMS AND FUNDAMENTAL DATA STRUCTURES AND KNOW HOW TO IMPLEMENT THEM THROUGH PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES. SKILLS RELATED TO THE BASICS OF THE DATABASES ARE ALSO REQUIRED. |

Teaching Methods | |
---|---|
THE COURSE IS ORGANIZED IN LECTURES (8 CFU) AND LABORATORY EXPERIENCES (1 CFU). IN PARTICULAR, FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE COURSE (PRODUCTION SYSTEMS), THERE WILL BE LECTURES IN WHICH THE THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS WILL BE EXPOSED. DOWNSTREAM OF THE THEORETICAL LESSONS, YOU WILL HAVE A LABORATORY EXPERIENCE WITH THE ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING SOFTWARE “ODOO” WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE SIMULATION OF REAL CASES OF DIGITIZATION IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES. FOR THE SECOND AND THIRD PART OF THE PROGRAM (INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS ARCHITECTURES AND BUSINESS PROCESS ENGINEERING), FRONTAL LESSONS ARE PROVIDED, FOLLOWED BY INDIVIDUAL STUDY ACTIVITIES (HOMEWORK) IN WHICH MODELS OF BUSINESS ARCHITECTURE AND BUSINESS PROCESSES WILL HAVE TO BE FORMALIZED. THE STUDENTS WILL BE ORGANIZED INTO GROUPS AND EACH GROUP WILL BE ENTRUSTED WITH A PROJECT TO BE DEVELOPED DURING THE COURSE. THE STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT: - AT LEAST 70% OF THE LECTURES; - FOR 100% OF LABORATORY ACTIVITIES. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
LEARNING ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES WILL START AFTER THE FIRST MONTH OF THE COURSE AND WILL CONTINUE AT SIGNIFICANT PROJECT MILESTONES. FINAL TEST A) PROJECT DISCUSSION AND PRACTICAL VERIFICATION ON THE LEARNED SOFTWARE TOOLS (10 POINTS); B) ORAL QUESTIONS ON THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS OF THE COURSE (20 POINTS). |
