THE COURSE PROVIDES THE CONCEPTUAL REFERENCES AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORKS FOR THE UNDERSTANDING AND INTERPRETATION OF THE INSTRUMENTS OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PLANNING, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE CONTENTS, TO THE MODELS AND TO TECHNIQUES. EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS AND COMPETENCE TO BE ACQUIRE: TO LEARN, THROUGH THE DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE TECHNIQUES USED IN THE FIELD OF URBAN PLANNING (PARTICIPATION, EQUALIZATION, RISK CONTROL AND PREVENTION, ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT, ...), THE WAYS OF THEIR USE AND THE TECHNICAL AND URBAN CONTEXT IN WHICH TO IMPLEMENT THEM; TO ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO MODEL THE TERRITORY BASED ON THE THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES THAT PRESIDE OVER ITS PHYSICAL AND FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION; USE OF URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS NECESSARY FOR MEASURING AND CONTROLLING URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PHENOMENA; TO ACQUIRE, THROUGH THE STUDY OF URBAN MODELS AND TECHNIQUES, THE ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE SPECIFIC CONTENTS OF URBAN PLANNING TOOLS; ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO DRAW UP A MUNICIPAL STRUCTURAL PLAN IN ITS COGNITIVE AND STRATEGIC COMPONENT, IN TERMS OF DIMENSIONING, TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE TERMINOLOGY USED IN CONCEPTUAL MODELS, METHODOLOGIES AND URBAN PLANNING TECHNIQUES.
