Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS CHARACTERIZED BY A SOLID AND RIGOROUS SETTING REGARDING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND BY A DYNAMIC APPROACH, WITH MANY CASE STUDIES, FOR WHAT CONCERNS THE ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEMS. SPECIFICALLY, REGARDING THE DESIGN OF ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEMS, THERE WILL BE MOMENTS FOR THE DISCUSSION AND DEPTH STUDY OF ISSUES RELATED TO THE IMPACT OF THE ICT IN THE ENTERPRISES. REGARDING PROJECT MANAGEMENT, THE COURSE PROVIDES BASIC KNOWLEDGE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF SOFTWARE PROJECTS FOR THE REALIZATION OF ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEMS, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE ASPECTS RELATED TO THE MANAGEMENT, PLANNING AND TIMING, RISK MANAGEMENT, PEOPLE MANAGEMENT, COST ESTIMATION, AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT.
IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE TO THE FINAL ASSESSMENT AND TO GAIN THE CREDITS CORRESPONDING TO THE COURSE, THE STUDENT MUST HAVE ATTENDED AT LEAST 70% OF THE HOURS OF ASSISTED TEACHING ACTIVITIES.
Verification of learning
THE EXAM CONSISTS OF A PRACTICAL TEST AND AN ORAL TEST. THE PRACTICAL TEST CONSISTS OF THE REALIZATION AND THE PRESENTATION OF A DEPTH STUDY CONCERNING SPECIFIC METHODOLOGICAL AND/OR TECHNOLOGICAL TOPICS WHICH ARE RELEVANT IN THE ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEM WORLD. THE TOPICS THAT SHOULD BE TREATED IN THE STUDY WILL BE INDICATED DURING THE COURSE AND THEY VARY DURING THE YEARS ACCORDING TO THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRENDS. THE ORAL TEST AIMS AT THE VERIFICATION OF THE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE COURSE ARGUMENTS AND IT FORESEES ALSO A PRESENTATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY REALIZED BY THE STUDENT. IT WILL BE EVALUATED, BESIDES THE ANSWERS ACCURACY, THE PRESENTATION, THE PROPER USE OF THE LANGUAGE/TERMINOLOGY, AND THE MATURITY LEVEL OF THE STUDENT IN THE USE OF THE METHODOLOGIES, METHODS, AND TECHNIQUES FOR THE DESIGN OF AN INFORMATION SYSTEM WITH LOW COMPLEXITY.
