Objectives
SUBJECT MAKES TO SUPPLY THE MAIN KNOWLEDGE TO UNDERSTAND AND REFLECT ON THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROCESSES THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE PUBLIC USE OF CONTEMPORARY HISTORY WITH THE OBJECTIVE TO ACQUIRE CRITICAL READING CAPACITY OF THE PHENOMENON.
THE KNOWLEDGE IS TO FINALIZE TO GIVE THE STUDENT THE ABILITY TO CRITICALLY ANALYZE THE POLITICAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD.
IN THE LIGHT OF ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DISTINGUISH AND INTERPRET THE CONTEMPORARY HISTORY BOTH IN THE CRONOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE THAT AS A REASONED ANALYSIS OF THE INTERDEPENDENCE OF THE GREAT PROBLEMS OF THE CONTEMPORARY AGE ON THE MAIN POLITICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL PROCESSES OF THE CENTURIES XX-XXI.
THE STUDENT WILL BE STIMULATE TO ORGANIZE THEIR IDEAS IN ORAL FORM. TEACHING WILL ENABLE HIM TO DISTINGUISH AND INTERPRET THE FORMATION OF THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC STRUCTURES OF THE STATES DUE TO CHANGING OF THE GEO-POLITICAL RELATIONSHIP FROM THE II WORLD POST-WAR TO OUR DAYS.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS BASED ON 40 HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS THAT MAY INCLUDE SEMINAR ACTIVITIES AND DISCUSSIONS OF CASE STUDIES.
THE FREQUENCY OF THE COURSE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED AND WILL BE PERIODICALLY MONITORED
Verification of learning
THE VERIFICATION OF LEARNING WILL TAKE ACROSS A FINAL ORAL TEST TO EVALUATE THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING DISCIPLINE AND THE ABILITY OF ARGUMENTATION RELATED TO THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROCESSES FROM THE II WORLD POST-WAR AT THE GLOBAL AGE.
AT LEAST THREE QUESTIONS WILL BE FORMULATED TO ASSESS THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS.
THE ORAL EXAM HAS A DURATION OF ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES AND IS BASED ON A SET OF SPECIFIC QUESTIONS TO ASSESS THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND COMPLETION CAPABILITY REACHED BY THE STUDENT. THE FINAL EXAM WILL ALSO CHECK THE EXPOSURE CAPABILITY OF THE STUDENT TO USE THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND THE CAPACITY TO ORGANIZE AUTONOMOUSLY HIS/HER PRESENTATION.
THE EVALUATION WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS.
THE MINIMUM LEVEL OF EVALUATION (18) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT HAS A FRAGMENTED KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND SHOWS A LIMITED ABILITY TO USE THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF THE STUDY. THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND HAS A CONSIDERABLE ABILITY TO USE THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF STUDY.
PRAISE IS GIVEN WHEN THE CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS AND SHOWS REMARKABLE OWNERSHIP OF LANGUAGE AND AUTONOMOUS PROCESSING SKILLS EVEN IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER.
IN THE FINAL PART OF THE COURSE THERE IS A WRITTEN VERIFICATION TEST (ABOUT 45 MINUTES). FOR STUDENTS WHO TAKE IT, THE FINAL EVALUATION IS OBTAINED AS THE AVERAGE OF THE PARTIAL EVALUATIONS (WRITTEN TEST AND ORAL EXAMINATION).
