THE LEARNING RESULT TO ACHIEVE IS - PRINCIPLES AND BASIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ALGORITHMS AND PARALLEL AND DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS AND ON CLOUD, AND THE TECHNIQUES FOR THEIR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION THE PURPOSE OF THIS COURSE IS TO INTRODUCE THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CLOUD COMPUTING, FOCUSSING ON THE ABSTRACT MECHANISMS, ARCHITECTURES AND PATTERNS THAT CHARACTERIZES CLOUD COMPUTING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENTS WILL GAIN KNOWLEDGE IN: •CLOUD COMPUTING MOTIVATIONS •CLOUD MODELS •COMMON CHARACTERISTICS TO CLOUD PLATFORMS •ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES AND MECHANISMS FOR CLOUD COMPUTING •PRINCIPLES OF CLOUD COMPUTING •STRUCTURE OF THE MAIN CLOUD PROVIDERS (AMAZON AND MICROSOFT) APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: •USE AMAZON AND MICROSOFT CLOUD SERVICES •MANAGE A VIRTUAL MACHINE IN A CLOUD ENVIRONMENT •PLAN CLOUD RESOURCES WITH EXPENSES FORECAST |
