Objectives
GENERAL GOAL
THE GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE IS TO PRESENT THE FOUNDATIONAL BASIS OF CLOUD COMPUTING, SO AS TO BE ABLE TO DEEPEN THE PRINCIPLES, CHARACTERISTICS AND FUNCTIONALITIES COMMON TO THE VARIOUS CLOUD COMPUTING PROVIDERS.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

THE STUDENT:
- WILL KNOW THE PRINCIPLES UNDERLYING THE DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF COMPLEX INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN THE CLOUD (SC1)
- WILL UNDERSTAND THE MAIN ARCHITECTURES AND MODELS OF THE CLOUD, CHARACTERISTICS AND ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES, WITH REFERENCE TO THE NIST MODEL, DELIVERY AND DEPLOYMENT, SHARED RESPONSIBILITY (D3C1, D3C4, D3C8)
- WILL MASTER THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF PARALLEL ALGORITHMS AND SYSTEMS, DISTRIBUTED ON THE CLOUD (D3C2)
- WILL UNDERSTAND CLOUD ENABLING PRINCIPLES AND TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS VIRTUALISATION/CONTAINERISATION, MULTITENANCY, LOAD BALANCING, HIGH SUSTAINABILITY (D3C3,D3C11)
