Objectives
THE COURSE INTRODUCES STUDENTS TO THE BASIC CONCEPTS AND METHODOLOGIES OF POLITICAL AND ELECTORAL COMMUNICATION. IT WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS. THE FIRST WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE MAIN DEVELOPMENTS OF THE CAMPAIGNING IN THE CONTEMPORARY DEMOCRACIES. THE SECOND WILL OFFER TO THE STUDENTS THE KNOW HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE POLITICAL AND ELECTORAL MARKET. THANKS TO THE INVOLVEMENT OF POLITICAL CONSULTANT, THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO ANALYZE AND SIMULATE COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES, WITH AN ATTENTION ON DIGITAL NETWORKS AND PLATFORMS.

THE COURSE WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS. THE FIRST WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE MAIN DEVELOPMENTS OF THE CAMPAIGNING IN THE CONTEMPORARY DEMOCRACIES. THEREFORE, IT WILL ANALYZE THE MAIN CONCEPTS, SUCH AS:

A.PERMANENT CAMPAIGN;
B.GOING PUBLIC;
C.BRANDING POLITICS;
D.TARGETING

THE SECOND, MORE INNOVATIVE, WILL OFFER TO THE STUDENTS THE KNOW HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE POLITICAL AND ELECTORAL MARKET. THANKS TO THE INVOLVEMENT OF POLITICAL CONSULTANT, THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO ANALYZE AND SIMULATE COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES, WITH AN ATTENTION ON DIGITAL NETWORKS AND PLATFORMS.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF 40 HOURS OF FRONTAL LESSONS. IT WILL ALSO BE USED AUDIOVISUAL MATERIAL FROM THE DATABASES AVAILABLE ON LINE OR AD HOC DEVELOPED. DUE TO ITS CHARACTERISTICS, THE FREQUENCY IS RECOMMENDED
Verification of learning
THE EXAM WILL CONSIST OF A TEST ON THE COMMUNICATION PLAN. IT WILL BE PRIMARILY AIMED AT VERIFYING THAT STUDENTS USE CONSCIOUSLY METHODOLOGIES AND DATA ANALYSIS TOOLS - POLLS, ELECTORAL RULES, NEWS AND ON LINE CONTENTS - FOR EFFECTIVE MARKETING STRATEGIES.
