Lucio Ippolito
• is Associate Professor at University of Salerno – Faculty of Engineering;
• has obtained Ph. D. from University of Naples “Federico II” (Electrical Engineering);
• was visiting professor at the School of Electronic & Electrical Engineering - University of Birmingham (UK), where he was involved in research program and tutorials on Electrified Transportation Systems;
• is member of the National Research Group on Electrical Power Systems;
• was Scientific Consultant for Ansaldo Segnalamento Ferroviario S.p.A. in the analysis of the effects of electric feeding system on ACC signalling devices at Cheadle Hulme (Manchester – UK)"
• is member of the SOCRATES Committee of University of Salerno;
• chaired the Commission for professional training of Engineers set up by Counsel of Order of Engineers of Salerno;
• was scientific responsible of Salerno Research Group about some project financed by University and by MIUR (PRIN 1999).
• was member of commissions for appointment of academic researchers;
• is research leader at the Centre of Excellence Methods and Systems for Training and Knowledge;
• is research leader at the Centre of Competence “New Technologies for Productive activity”;
• was author of the study for the “Energetic Plan of Campania Region”;
• was author of the study for the evaluation of “Electromagnetic Risk” for the Avellino Province;
• was author of the the “Environmental ang Energetic Plan of Mercato S. Severino Municipality”;
• is referee for some international journal as IEEE Trans. on Power Delivery, IEEE Trans. on Power Systems, and IASTED Energy and Power Systems Journal;
• is member of the IASTED Technical Committee on Energy and Power Systems;
• was session chair at many international conferences and meetings;
• is, currently, member of the International Program Commitee of European Power and Energy Systems Conference (EUROPES2004);
• is author or co-author of about 90 scientific articles presented at conferences or published on reviewed journals.
