In the period 1986-1994 the search for Maria Pascale is aimed at the characterization of the intermediate compartment between ER and Golgi complex, particulary  studied the post-translational modifications and the intracellular transport along the secretory pathway of viral glycoproteins and human CD8alfa.

1998-onward has been involved in  study on apoptosis, with particular interest in the identification and characterization of the molecular mechanisms by which apoptosis is induced by stress.

Prof. Pascale has achieved interesting results from research published in specialized journals (J Biol Chem,  Leukemia, J Cell Physiol., Cancer Research, Oncogene, ect. ).
