Objectives
THE INTEGRATED COURSE OF "ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY" HAS THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE ANATOMICAL STRUCTURES THAT BOTH OF THE MAIN FUNCTIONAL MECHANISMS OF THE HUMAN ORGANISM.
LEARNING UNIT: ANATOMY- OBJECTIVES
THE AIM OF THE MODULE OF HUMAN ANATOMY IS TO PROVIDE A GOOD LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE ANATOMICAL BASIS OF THE HUMAN BODY IN ITS MACROSCOPIC AND MICROSCOPIC ASPECTS.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THEY WILL ACQUIRE THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE STRUCTURE AND COMPONENTS OF THE ANATOMY OF DIFFERENT ORGANS IN ADULT AND APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS WILL USE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSE IN ORDER TO RECOGNIZE AND DESCRIBE THE MAJOR ANATOMICAL STRUCTURES.
MAKING JUDGMENTS
THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE ABILITY TO EXPOSE A CRITICAL AND AUTONOMOUS TOPICS COVERED, AND THINK ABOUT THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF ORGANS AND SYSTEMS.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE COURSE AIMS TO MOTIVATE THE STUDENTS SO THAT THEY ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE THE RESULTS OF THEIR LEARNING; UNDERSTAND AND BE UNDERSTOOD USING APPROPRIATE TECHNICAL LANGUAGE.
LEARNING SKILLS
BASED ON THE KNOWLEDGE LEARNED DURING THE COURSE AND THE SKILLS OF INDIPENDENT STUDY, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO CRITICALLY EVALUATE A SCIENTIFIC PAPER OF ANATOMY.
LEARNING UNIT: PHYSIOLOGY- OBJECTIVES
THE GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PHYSIOLOGY MODULE IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE INTEGRATED FUNCTIONING OF THE HUMAN BODY, FROM HOMEOSTASIS AT THE CELLULAR LEVEL TO THE DIFFERENT MECHANISMS OF REGULATION OF VARIOUS ORGAN SYSTEMS.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE COURSE AIMS TO STIMULATE THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAJOR PHYSIOLOGICAL MECHANISMS THAT ALLOW THE STUDENTS TO SET UP THE ANALYSIS OF THE CORRELATION FUNCTION OF THE HUMAN BODY.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
DURING THE COURSE, STUDENTS WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND TO ANALYZE, DISCUSS AND PERFORM SIMPLE CORRELATIONS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL PROBLEMS.
MAKING JUDGMENTS
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE ABILITY TO EXPOSE THE TOPICS IN A CRITICAL MANNER, AND REFLECT ON THE CORRELATION STRUCTURE - FUNCTION OF ORGANS AND SYSTEMS.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE COURSE IS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND WITH PROPERTIES OF LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED.
LEARNING SKILLS
STUDENTS WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO EXPLORE ISSUES OF STUDY, COLLECT AND INTERPRET DATA INDICATIVE OF SOME TYPICAL PROBLEMS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL RESEARCH.

Prerequisites
ACHIEVEMENT OF BASIC KNOWLEDGES IN INORGANIC CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY.
