THE COURSE IS ORIENTED TO INTRODUCE THE MAIN SUBJECTS OF THE POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY THROUGH APPROPRIATE TOOLS FOR UNDERSTANDING MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY POLITICAL CULTURE AND ITS CATEGORIES. THE AIM IS ACQUISITION OF CRITICAL AND ANALYTICAL KNOWLEDGE AND ARGUMENTATIVE ABILITY. SPECIFIC AIM OF THE COURSE IS THE DEVELOPING OF FOLLOWING COMPETENCES: KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL USE OF POLITICAL CATEGORIES; ABILITY TO ANALYZE THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE TROUGH CATEGORIES AND CONCEPTS ACQUIRED. IN PARTICULAR: * AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT: THE COURSE IS ORIENTED TO DEVELOP ANALYTICAL AND CRITICAL ABILITIES STIMULATING STUDENTS TO CRITICAL AUTONOMY AND TO FORMULATION OF COHERENT AND WELL DEVELOPED ARGUMENTATIONS. IT IS ALSO EXPECTED THE IMPROVEMENT OF ABILITIES OF THOUGHT AND OF EVALUATION. • COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO EMPOWER THE COMMUNICATIVE ABILITIES (WRITTEN AND ORAL) OF THE STUDENTS ON THE THEMES OF POLITICAL THEORY. THE LEARNING CAPACITIES AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS MUST BE TESTED: STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP LEARNING ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE ORIENTED TO THE ANALYSIS OF POLITICS AND ITS TRANSFORMATIONS IN CONTEMPORARY WORLD. * DEVELOPMENT IN STUDENTS OF ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING: STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE ABILITIES TROUGH THEORETICAL APPROACH |

ORAL EXAMINATION (MINIMUM 3 QUESTIONS) AT THE END OF THE COURSE, AIMED TO ASSESS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF COURSE CONTENTS AND THE ABILITY OF APPLYING THEM. GRADING SYSTEM: 30-POINT SCALE - MINIMUM PASSING GRADE: 18/30 = SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF COURSE CONTENTS AND LOW ABILITY TO USE THEM IN A STUDY ENVIRONMENT; - BEST GRADE: 30/30 = FULL KNOWLEDGE OF COURSE CONTENT AND HIGH ABILITY TO USE THEM IN A STUDY ENVIRONMENT;. FINAL GRADE IS TO BE MEANT AS AVERAGE OF GRADES RESULTING FROM EVERY ANSWER TO QUESTIONS. MIDTERM TEST IS JUST FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS. |
