Objectives
THE STUDENT WILL TAKE THEORETICAL AND EMPIRICAL KNOWLEDGE ON MICROECONOMIC AND MACROECONOMIC MODELS APPLIED TO LABOR MARKET. MORE SPECIFIC THEY WILL UNDERSTAND THE INTERACTION BETWEEN LABOR DEMAND AND LABOR SUPPLY IN THE LABOR MARKET. THEY WILL ABLE TO DESCRIBE AND TO MAKE CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE MODELS IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THE MOST PROPER INTERPRETATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMPLOYERS AND WORKERS IN THE LABOR MARKET. THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO DEVELOP AND IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS THROUGH THE CONSULTATION OF PUBLICATIONS, DATABASES AND INFORMATION NETWORK IN THE LABOR MARKET. BESIDES THE STUDENT WILL FOCUS ON THE MICROECONOMICS MODELS FOR INTERPRETING THE RELATION BETWEEN EMPLOYEES AND EMPLOYERS IN PARTICULAR IN THE PERSONNEL ECONOMICS LITERATURE THE ALLOCATION OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND INCENTIVES.
