Jobs and career. Degree of “Laurea” (summa cum Laude) in Architecture (Sapienza University of Rome) in 1990. PhD in “Geodetical and Topographical Sciences (Geomatics)” (Engineering Department, University of Ferrara) in 1994. Postdoctoral Fellow (Engineering Department, University of Ferrara) from 2004 to 2005. Assistant Professor (tenured) from 1995 to 2001 at the Geodesy, Topography and Idrography Department of the IUN University (Nautical Sciences ) of Naples. Associate Professor (tenured) in “Topography and Cartography” at University of Salerno from 2001 to date. At present she acts as: - Member of the governing body of the PhD program in “Engineering for Environment”, University of Salerno. - Member of the directing body of ReSLEHM - Remote Sensing Laboratory for Environmental Hazard Monitoring, University of Salerno. In the past she has acted as: Local Principal Investigator for funding from the Italian Ministry of Research (PRIN projects), years 2000, 2001 and 2004. P. I. of a project about cartography updates from satellite images at scale 1:25000 (project funded by the Department of “Protezione Civile”, 2000). Head of the group validating the update of local cartography (town of Montecorvino Pugliano, Salerno 2007). Head of the team running a “project for technical advice in topography and cartography” for the judges of the Salerno Criminal Main Court. Research Activities. She has authored close to 80 papers published in scientific journals and Conference proceedings. Her research activity from 1990 has been mainly centered on problems in the following areas: Analytic and digital Photogrammetry. Analysis, simulation and simulation of GPS networks. Analysis of deformations with GPS. Differential and kinematic GPS. Check of the accuracy of networks of permanent GNSS stations. Experimental study of the deformation of the geoid. Topography for emergencies. Production and update of cartography from satellite images. Integration of sensors and direct georeferencing of digital images. Survey done with terrestrial and airborne LiDAR. Environmental Remote Sensing. Analysis and control of deformations using LIDAR techniques.
