Objectives
THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON FUNDAMENTAL ARCHEOLOGICAL TYPOLOGIES OF MATERIALS AND ON TOPOGRAPHICAL AND MONUMENTAL CONTEXTS AIMING TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANALOGIES AND CONTINUITY BUT ALSO DIFFERENCES AND TRANSFORMATIONS BETWEEN GREEK AND ROMAN WORLD.
THE TEACHING PATH WILL ALSO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION SPECIFIC TOPICS RELATING TO THE USE OF CULTURAL HERITAGE AND TO THE REUSE OF THE CLASSICAL MOTIFS DURING THE FOLLOWING PERIODS.
THE COURSE INTENDS TO PROVIDE ABILITY IN UNDERSTANDING THE SEVERAL PERSPECTIVES IN THE FIELD OF THE ARCHEOLOGICAL RESEARCH ALSO AS REAL PART OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE BUILDING OF A COMMON CULTURAL MEMORY.
THE COMPETENCE IN CLASSICAL ARCHAEOLOGY WILL BE A STARTING POINT AS ABILITY IN COMMUNICATING HISTORICAL, ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND CULTURAL INFORMATION RELATED TO TOURIST INDUSTRY.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF GREEK AND ROMAN ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY OF ART.

1.THE HUMAN REPRESENTATION IN GREEK AND ROMAN ART;
2.THE PLACES OF DEITIES BETWEEN GREECE AND ROME;
3.AGORÀ AND “DEMOCRACY” IN GREECE;
4.SCENOGRAPHY OF POWER BETWEEN GREECE AND ROME;
5.MYTHOLOGY BETWEEN GREECE AND ROME;
6.FUNUS AND IMAGINES MAIORUM AT ROME;
7.CLASSICAL IMAGES AND CONTEMPORARY CULTURE.

FRONTAL LESSONS AND PRESENTATION OF READINGS BY STUDENTS.
Verification of learning
VERBAL EXAM WHOSE EVALUATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS: KNOWLEDGE, SUFFICIENT CRITICAL
