Gian Paolo CAMMAROTA Curriculum
Gian Paolo Cammarota is a postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer of History of Philosophy in the School of Philosophy of the University of Salerno.
He has done research regarding political philosophy, philosophical anthropology and history of philosophy with particular emphasis on Neo-Kantianism. In this context he has focused especially on the German Jewish Philosopher Hermann Cohen(1842-1918).
1982-1987 MA in Philosophy, Laurea Summa Cum Laude, Università degli Studi di Salerno. (The theme of decision in M. Heidegger and C. Schmitt)
1990-94 Ph.D. in Philosophy, Università degli Studi di Salerno. (Ethics in Hermann Cohen)
Since 1988, co-editor of the journal "Filosofia e teologia".
Since 2002, member of the "Hermann Cohen-Gesellschaft".
In 2007, he organised an international conference of philosophy titled „Unità della ragione e modi dell’esperienza. Hermann Cohen e il neokantismo”.
2006-10 lecturer of philosophical anthropology and history of philosophy.
He is currently teaching history of contemporary philosophy.
