Objectives
I. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH:
-FROM A HISTORICAL-PHILOSOPHICAL POINT OF VIEW, THE READING STRATEGIES OF A TEX
-THE DIFFERENT FORMS OF REASONING AND ARGUMENTATION IN THE HISTORY OF PHILOSOPHY
-TOOLS FOR EXERCISING CRITICAL THINKING
-WAYS TO MAKE THE DISCOURSE TRANSPARENT.
II. THE STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP THEIR CAPACITIES TO APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TO THEIR SPECIFIC FIELD OF STUDIES. AS A RESULT OF THE LESSONS HELD BY THE TEACHER, THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE TO SHOW THEIR ABILITY TO DETECT THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE TOPICS AND AUTHORS THEY HAVE STUDIED.

THE EXAMINATION CONSISTS IN AN ORAL EXAM WHICH WILL VERIFY THE PREPARATION OF THE STUDENTS AS WELL AS THEIR CAPACITY TO APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING SUSTAINING ARGUMENTS AND SOLVING PROBLEMS WITHIN CONTEMPORARY PHILOSOPHY. THE STUDENTS’ ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE IN A CLEAR AND UNIVOCAL WAY THE AQUIRED CONTENTS AND METHODS WILL BE ASSESSED.
