1)KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENT AT THE END OF THE COURSE SHOULD DEMONSTRATE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CELL ORGANIZATION, THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF CELLULAR ORGANELLES, THE CONCEPT OF GENE AND GENOME, THE PROCESSES BY WHICH GENETIC INFORMATION IS TRANSMITTED AND EXPRESSED, THE BASICS OF INHERITANCE, STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF PROKARYOTIC AND EUKARYOTIC CELLS, STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF THE PLANT CELL AS SOURCE OF BIOACTIVE MOLECULES; ELEMENTS OF PLANT METABOLISM; ELEMENTS OF PLANT HYSTOLOGY AND ANATOMY; REPRODUCTION AND ONTOGENETIC CYCLES. 2)APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENT SHOULD ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF APPLICATIONS MULTIDISCIPLINARY METHODOLOGICAL, TECHNOLOGICAL AND INSTRUMENTAL IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE MECHANISMS AT CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR LEVEL. 3)MAKING JUDGEMENTS: THE STUDENT WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO FIND AND USE DATA USEFUL TO THE SOLUTION OF THEORETICAL SPECIFIC QUESTIONS, AND TO ASSESS INDEPENDENTLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. 4)COMMUNICATION SKILLS: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EXPOSE INFORMATION ON BIOLOGICAL THEMES USING SPECIFIC TERMS, CLEARLY AND SIMPLY EVEN TO A NON-SPECIALIST PUBLIC 5)LEARNING SKILLS:THE STUDENT MUST HAVE ACQUIRED APPROPRIATE SKILLS TO FURTHER DEVELOPMENT AND DEEPENING THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF LITERATURE CONSULTATION WITH THE APPROPRIATE SPECIFICATION.
