Objectives
GENERAL LEARNING OUTCOMES:
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN THEORIES OF ACTING AND PERFORMANCE DEVELOPED BETWEEN THE NINETEENTH AND TWENTIETH CENTURIES, USING THE ANALYSIS OF TEXTS, DOCUMENTS AND MATERIALS, USEFUL FOR A CORRECT CLASSIFICATION OF THE MODELS EXAMINED

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE STUDENT
- WILL KNOW A SPECIFIC ASPECT OF CONTEMPORARY THEATRE
- WILL UNDERSTAND HOW TO DYNAMICALLY RELATE IT TO OTHER THEATRICAL ELEMENTS

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THROUGH THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO
- ANALYZE IN DETAIL AND WITH PERTINENT LANGUAGE THE THEORIES EXAMINED
- FRAMING WITH CLARITY AND PRECISION THE MAIN ACTING SYSTEMS DEVELOPED IN CONTEMPORARY THEATRE

MAKING JUDGMENTS:
STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP CONCEPTUAL TOOLS AND CRITICAL SKILLS FOR AUTONOMOUSLY EVALUATING METHODOLOGICAL-HISTORICAL ISSUES, SOURCES, MATERIALS AND SPECIFIC LANGUAGES OF THE THEATRICAL DISCIPLINES, AS WELL AS OF OTHER ARTISTIC DISCIPLINES.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AT DIFFERENT LEVELS (BOTH TO AN AUDIENCE OF EXPERTS AND TO ONE OF NON-SPECIALISTS), WITH SPECIFIC LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND LEXICAL SKILLS, AND USING THE MOST APPROPRIATE KIND OF LANGUAGE FOR EACH CIRCUMSTANCE.

LEARNING SKILLS:
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET COMPLEX TEXTS AND USE BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS, TO IDENTIFY AND SELECT THE SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE USEFUL FOR INCREASING THEIR KNOWLEDGE
