Objectives
Acquisition of knowledge on the quality control of herbal products, with the attention to regulatory aspects in Europe and in the world. Application of the acquired knowledge to critical analysis of validated protocols in the field of quality and safety of medicinal plants and herbal products.
Prerequisites
IT WILL BE USEFUL TO HAVE PASSED THE FOLLOWING COURSES: PLANT BIOLOGY, PHARMACOGNOSY, ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, QUALITY CONTROL OF HERBAL PRODUCTS.

EVALUATION TESTS, COMPRENSION TESTS AFTER EVERY LECTURE, AND ORAL FINAL EXAMINATION.
VERIFICATION TESTS, GIVEN AT THE END OF EACH LESSON, ARE FOCUSED TO EVALUATE THE UNDERSTANDING LEVEL AND CONSIST IN 30 QUIZS WITH A TRUE/FALSE RESPONSE OR QUIZ WITH A MULTIPLE RESPONSE. FOR EACH TEST THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE 45 MINUTES AVAILABLE. THE EVALUATION OF EACH VERIFICATION TEXT WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THIRTY.
ORAL EXAM CONSISTS IN A DISCUSSION OF THE CONTENT OF THE VERIFICATION TESTS GIVEN AFTER THE LECTURES.
ORAL EXAMINATION WILL DURING ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES AND THE EVALUATION WILL BE IN N/30.
