Objectives
THE COURSE HAS THE AIM OF PROVIDING METHODS AND TOOLS FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF LATIN LITERARY TEXTS, IN ORDER TO ALLOW PHD STUDENTS TO IDENTIFY THE MAIN FEATURES OF LATIN LITERATURE BY PUTTING THE AUTHORS IN THE GENERAL SCHEME OF LITERARY HISTORY, IN THE DIFFERENT LITERARY GENRES, IN THE TRADITIONS OF MODELS AND STYLE. IN THIS SENSE, IT IS AIMED AT PROVIDING THE ADVANCED LEVEL SPECIALIZED SKILLS NECESSARY TO DEAL WITH NEW PROBLEMS AND ISSUES AND TO BE ABLE TO DEVELOP ORIGINAL AND INNOVATIVE LINES OF RESEARCH.
Prerequisites
A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF LATIN LANGUAGE AND HISTORY OF LATIN LITERATURE.
