Scientific Coordinator of Internatinal Symposium on " Transnational Crime, Global Emergencies and Human Rights: The Judicial Cooperation for the Protection of Common Values of the European Union"
The Project aims at offering a high-quality, specialized, and interdisciplinary Symposium on the emerging EU counter-crime policy, paramount to ensuring security and protecting European values, including the rule of law and fundamental rights, both in the EU and worldwide. The planned event is in line with the Italian-French partnership on judicial cooperation in criminal matters as recently ruled by the Quirinal Treaty. Namely, the Treaty takes into account "the common objective" to fightagainst serious threats to the European Union values and security (such as the terrorism, organized crime, cyber-attacks, eco-cultural crimes, illicit trafficking of drugs, arms, and people), also by the synergy of the initiatives undertaken at the national level both “scientifically and culturally” (preamble).
