Objectives
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE A THEORETICAL APPROACH TO THE FUNDAMENTAL THEMES OF CONTEMPORARY THEATRE.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEATRICAL PHENOMENA OF THE CONTEMPORARY AGE AND WILL LEARN HOW TO USE THE NECESSARY HISTORICAL-METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERTAKE A CRITICAL READING OF THE VARIOUS PHENOMENA OF CONTEMPORARY THEATRE THROUGH FUNDAMENTAL THEORETICAL THREADS AND EMBLEMATIC MODELS.

THROUGH THE STUDY OF MAIN THEATRE THEORIES SINCE THE END OF '800, THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS THE DATAILS UNDERSTANDING THE EVOLUTIONOF THE ART OF THE THEATRE OF '900 THROUGH ITS PECULIAR EXPRESSIONS (ACTING, DANCE, MIME). ANALYSIS OF EMBLEMATIC EXPERIENCES THAT BELONG TO THIS PHENOMENON (PAPER AND SCREENINGS) AIMS TO PROVIDE THE METHODOLOGY TOOLS FOR A CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING OF A PECULIAR MOMENT OF CONTEMPORARY EUROPEAN THEATRE. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE AND INTERPRETING DATA AND INFORMATION TO IMPROVE ONE OR MORE SPECIFIC AREAS OF STUDY, EVEN INDIPENDENTLEY IDENTIFIED.

• COMMENT ON A PASSAGE CHOSEN FROM THE THEORETICAL TEXTS OF THE SYLLABUS
