Barbara MASUCCI Curriculum

Barbara Masucci was born in Salerno on November 27, 1972.

She received the Laurea degree in Computer Science (cum laude) from the University of Salerno in 1996.

From November 1996 to November 2000 she was a PhD student in Computer Science at the Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni "Renato M. Capocelli", University of Salerno, under the supervision of prof.Alfredo De Santis. From September 1999 to April 2000 she was a visiting researcher at the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research, in the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization of the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, doing research with prof. Douglas Stinson.

In 2001 she received the Dottorato di Ricerca (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the University of Salerno. The title of the thesis was Secure Metering on the Web and was supervised by prof. Alfredo De Santis.

From March 2001 to February 2002 she was with the Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni holding a postdoc position (Assegno di Ricerca). In July 2001 she was a visiting researcher at the Departament de Matemàtica Aplicada IV, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.

From March 2002 to August 2019 she was an Assistant Professor at the Dipartimento di Informatica of the University of Salerno.

Since September 2019 she has been an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Dipartimento di Informatica of the University of Salerno.

In February 2023 she obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in Computer Science.
