UNIT 1 "GENERAL AND INORGANIC CHEMISTRY" AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENTS MUST PROVE THAT: - HAVE ACQUIRED A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF CHEMISTRY AND REACTIVITY OF THE ELEMENTS AND THEIR COMPOUNDS. - KNOW THE PRINCIPLES OF RELATIONSHIPS IN CHEMICAL REACTIONS. - KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE THE MICROSCOPIC PROPERTIES WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO ELECTRONIC STRUCTURES, TO CHEMICAL BONDS AND MOLECULAR GEOMETRY. - KNOW THE PROPERTIES OF GASES, LIQUIDS, SOLIDS AND SOLUTIONS. - KNOW THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF KINETICS, AND EQUILIBRIUM THERMODYNAMICS. - KNOW THE CHEMISTRY OF THE ELEMENTS OF PRINCIPAL GROUPS.
