Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:
UNDERSTAND AND APPLY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE EFFECTIVELY IN RENEWED COMPETITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL CONTEXTS; INTEGRATE THEORY AND PRACTICE TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO USE AI IN TERMS OF “AUGMENTED AND DISTRIBUTED INTELLIGENCE”.
THE STUDENT WILL BE GUIDED ON HOW AI IS TRANSFORMING BUSINESS COGNITIVE AND OPERATIONAL PROCESSES AND MODELS, DEEPENING THE LOGICS OF MACHINE LEARNING, THE IMPORTANCE OF DATA AND THEIR USE TO MAKE STRATEGIC DECISIONS.
THE COURSE IS ENRICHED WITH CASE STUDY ANALYSIS AND PROJECT WORK.

1. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ABILITY
STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE THE CONCEPTUAL TOOLS TO UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE THE MAIN PROBLEMS INHERENT IN THE USE OF AI IN VIEW OF THE DYNAMICS OF HIGHLY UNSTABLE GLOBAL SCENARIOS SUBJECT TO SUDDEN CHANGES.

2. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
STUDENTS WILL BE GUIDED TOWARDS A CRITICAL STUDY OF THE USE OF AI AS A COMPLEMENTARY, NOT SUBSTITUTE, INTELLIGENCE. IN THIS SENSE, THE COURSE WILL BE DIRECTED TOWARDS THE TRAINING OF COGNITIVE SKILLS AIMED AT INTERPRETING EVOLUTIONARY CONTEXTS AND DETERMINING THE CONDITIONS THAT FAVOR THE MAKING OF STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL DECISIONS.

STUDENTS WILL LEARN ANALYSIS SCHEMES CAPABLE OF QUALIFYING DECISION-MAKING PROCESSES WITH THE SUPPORT OF AI. IN THIS SENSE A GROUP PROJECT WORK WILL BE DEVELOPED.

THE COURSE ALLOWS STUDENTS TO STUDY THE PROBLEMS OF INTERNATIONAL SCENARIOS IN THE LIGHT OF RECENT EVENTS - COVID-19 AND RUSSIA-UKRAINE CONFLICT - WHICH INDUCE A RETHINKING OF THE TRADITIONAL LOGICS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC RELATIONSHIPS.
CRITICAL THINKING AND SYSTEMIC MATRIX ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES WILL BE APPLIED TO UNDERSTAND HIGHLY DYNAMIC INTERNATIONAL SCENARIOS

THE COURSE IS DEVELOPED THROUGH LECTURES, EXERCISES, CASE STUDIES AND SEMINARS.
STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE ENGAGED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF GROUP PROJECT WORK
Verification of learning
SINGLE MODULE: EX CATHEDRA LESSONS / EXERCISES / SEMINARS OF PROFESSIONALS.

HOW THE EXAM IS CARRIED OUT: THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE COURSE OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH A GRADE OUT OF THIRTY. THE EXAM INCLUDES A WRITTEN TEST AND AN ORAL TEST WHICH MAY TAKE PLACE ON DIFFERENT DAYS (THE WRITTEN TEST IS PRELIMINARY TO THE ORAL TEST), EACH IS GRADED OUT OF THIRTY AND IS CONSIDERED PASSED WITH A MINIMUM GRADE OF 18/30. THE FINAL GRADE IS GIVEN BY THE AVERAGE OF THE GRADES OBTAINED IN EACH TEST.

STUDENTS:
THE WRITTEN TEST REFERS TO THE PROJECT WORK WHICH HAS THE OBJECTIVE OF VERIFYING THE DEGREE OF LEARNING OF THE COURSE CONTENT RELATING TO GLOBAL ECONOMIC DYNAMICS AND COOPERATIVE AND NON-COOPERATIVE GAMES

NON-STUDENTS:
THE WRITTEN TEST, LASTING ONE AND A HALF HOURS, IS AIMED AT ASCERTAINING, IN A TRANSPARENT AND OBJECTIVE WAY, THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND REACHED BY THE STUDENT ON THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENT INDICATED IN THE PROGRAM.
THIS TEST IS COMPOSED OF 20 MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS AND 2 OPEN-ANSWER QUESTIONS; EACH MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTION HAS A VALUE OF 1 WHILE THE OPEN-CHOICE QUESTION HAS A VALUE OF 2 POINTS. AS THESE ARE MULTIPLE-CHOICE ANSWERS, IT IS ENOUGH TO INDICATE ONE, CROSSING THE ONE THAT YOU BELIEVE TO BE EXACT BASED ON YOUR KNOWLEDGE. THE SECOND PART IS DEDICATED TO TWO OPEN-CHOICE ANSWERS, FOCUSED ON THE TOPICS OF BUSINESSES AND EVOLUTIONARY DYNAMICS. THE QUESTIONS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE RESOLVED DURING CLASS HOURS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE WRITTEN TEST IS TO VERIFY THE OVERALL KNOWLEDGE OF THE DEVELOPED PROGRAM.

ORAL EXAM
THE ORAL EXAM, COMMON FOR STUDENTS AND NON-STUDENTS, HAS A DURATION OF APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES AND CONSISTS OF AN INTERVIEW, WITH QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION THAT AIM TO DEEPEN THE VERIFICATION OF LEARNING. IN THIS WAY THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND ACHIEVED BY THE STUDENT IS ASSESSED
