THE COURSE IS ORGANIZED AS FOLLOWS:
- LECTURES COVER ALL THE TOPICS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM;
- THE EXERCISES ARE FORESEEN IN SUPPORT OF THE TREATMENT OF MORE TECHNICAL AND OPERATIVE CUTTING TOPICS AND FORESEE GROUP ACTIVITIES;
- THE SEMINARS EXPLORE TOPICS OF PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE AND RELEVANCE WITH THE CONTRIBUTION OF EXPERTS AND OPERATORS IN THE SECTOR;
- THE ACTIVITIES ON FIELD CONSIST OF VISITS TO ORGANIZATIONS OF THE AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAIN AND OF THE SYSTEM OF PROTECTED AREAS DURING WHICH THE LEARNERS OBSERVE AND/OR EXPERIENCE SPECIFIC PROBLEMS THAT ARE OF INTEREST FOR THE COURSE.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH AN EVALUATION IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAM INCLUDES A WRITTEN TEST DURING THE COURSE, THE REALIZATION OF A PROJECT WORK AND A FINAL ORAL TEST THAT TAKE PLACE ON DIFFERENT DAYS, SCHEDULED.
THE FIRST WRITTEN TEST CONSISTS OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF A TEST, CONTAINING 20 QUESTIONS WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE ANSWERS AND 1 OPEN QUESTION, AND IS AIMED AT VERIFYING THE LEARNING OF THE THEORETICAL CONCEPTS UNDERLYING THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE THEMES AND PROBLEMS BEING STUDIED. THE RESULT, EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS, IS CALCULATED BY ASSIGNING 1 POINT TO EACH MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION CORRECTLY ANSWERED AND UP TO 10 POINTS TO THE ANSWER TO THE OPEN QUESTION. A SCORE EQUAL TO 0 IS ASSIGNED TO NON-RESPONSE AND INCORRECT ANSWER.
THE SECOND TEST CONSISTS IN THE REALIZATION OF A PROJECT WORK CONCERNING SPECIFIC THEMES AND PROBLEMS DEALT WITH THEORETICALLY DURING THE LESSONS ACCOMPANIED BY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED DURING THE SEMINAR AND FIELD ACTIVITIES. THE PROJECT WORK INVOLVES THE CREATION OF A WRITTEN REPORT AND A PRESENTATION IN PPT (OR SIMILAR) WHICH WILL BE PRESENTED IN THE CLASSROOM AT THE END OF THE COURSE, HAVING AVAILABLE ABOUT 20 MINUTES IN TOTAL. THE AIM IS TO VERIFY THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY APPLY THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED, THE DEGREE OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROBLEMS STUDIED AND THE ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE THE RESULTS ACHIEVED.
THE FINAL ORAL EXAM, CONSISTING OF A DISCUSSION LASTING NO MORE THAN 20 MINUTES, INCLUDES THE PRESENTATION OF THE TECHNICAL REPORT PRODUCED BY THE STUDENT EITHER AUTONOMOUSLY OR IN A GROUP (PROJECT WORK) CONCERNING AN OPERATIONAL PROBLEM RELATING TO CASES. THE FINAL ORAL EXAM STARTS FROM THE CONTENTS OF THE PROJECT WORK AND EXTENDS TO ASCERTAINING ON THE WHOLE THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACHIEVED BY THE LEARNERS IN RELATION TO THE CONTENTS OF THE PROGRAM, AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND WITH LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND TO DEVELOP SOLUTIONS IN INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT.
EACH TEST IS RATED IN THIRTIETHS AND IS CONSIDERED PASSED WITH THE MINIMUM GRADE OF 18/30. THE FINAL GRADE IS GIVEN BY THE ARITHMETIC AVERAGE OF THE GRADES REPORTED IN EACH TEST.
