Paul Harris Fellow PHF
Characteristics of the honour. The recognition defined as Paul Harris Fellow (PHF), set up by the Rotary Foundation, stands as the maximum recognition on the part of Rotary International, respecting the principle "service above self", in the name of sector service in ones own profession with positive repercussions on both the Rotary community and society in general. The name is in honour of Paul Harris, the Rotary Club founder; the honour has been employed since 1947 in memory of Harris and the importance of his work. Based on the opinion of the board, the PHF is conferred by the proposing club on Rotarians or individuals who have distinguished themselves meritoriously for their profession in scientific-cultural, social and humanitarian initiatives.
